Site Manager I, MEP
Gray
• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. • Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager. • Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule. • Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work, and assist in complete project estimate. • Individual poses the ability to assist in coordination/management of all trades throughout build process. • Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices. • Assist in the preparation of various reports, i.e. cost to complete, monthly billings and status reports. • Review all drawings, i.e. P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural, etc. when they are issued to the field and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times. • Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders to be reviewed by MEP Project Manager. • Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project. • Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion. • Schedule work, including subcontractors. • Assist in the productivity and quantity tracking of the subcontractors installed work. • Determine materials, equipment and tools needed. • Secure appropriate supply sources. • Set up and close out construction site. • Serve as on-site Safety Officer when one is not specifically assigned to the project. • Responsible for procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules. • Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specification, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays. • Individual will consult with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within the work force. • Prepares or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports and/or direction from MEP Project Manager. • Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance to company, industry standard, and job specifications. • Will insure the company QMS program is used and maintained in accordance to company standards. • Individual will be able to generate reports and traceability for continuous improvement. • Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.
Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school AND a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience OR a minimum 15 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree.
- Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
- Must be able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.
- Strong people management skills.
- Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets and smartphones.
- MS project and other scheduling software a plus.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development.
- Must posses the ability to think for his/herself and be able to manage without direction having to be given.
