Role Description We’re looking for a Kid’s Writer who will create entertaining, faith-forming content for children—stories, prayers, and interactive experiences that help kids grow in virtue, knowledge of the Catholic faith, and love for God. - Create engaging stories and content: - Develop compelling, age-appropriate stories, saint profiles, prayers, and interactive experiences for children. - Develop recurring characters and series: - Help establish recurring characters or series that can become staples of Hallow’s kid-focused content. - Lead seasonal content: - Take ownership of seasonal or special-event challenges, collaborating with other writers while gradually learning the ropes. - Contribute to content strategy: - Bring fresh ideas for stories, series, and interactive experiences that align with Hallow’s mission and vision for kids. - Collaborate across teams: - Work cross-functionally with marketing and product design to ensure content engages users and drives retention. Qualifications - Passion for kids and faith: You love writing for children and are excited to nurture their faith in an engaging, fun, and age-appropriate way. - Storytelling skill: Exceptional ability to craft narratives for children, balancing humor, adventure, and faith formation. - Creativity & playfulness: You bring curiosity, originality, and a sense of fun to every project. - Familiarity with Catholic faith: Strong understanding of Catholic doctrine, liturgy, prayers, and saints’ lives, and the ability to translate these faithfully into content children can understand and enjoy. - Collaboration: Able to take feedback, work with other writers, producers, and editors, and iterate quickly. - Detail-oriented & theologically-minded: Committed to theological accuracy and producing polished, high-quality content. - Adaptability: Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines while learning new content areas and seasonal challenges. - Bonus: Experience with interactive or gamified content, or audio-first storytelling techniques. Compensation Compensation range: $75,000-$110,000 USD per year. The above range only includes cash compensation. Each full-time employee in the US also receives equity compensation, alongside a top-tier benefits package (e.g., unlimited PTO, insurance, remote-flexible work, fully paid parental leave, 401(k) match, and stipends for spiritual development, health & wellness, home-office, and learning). The above range for cash compensation refers to base salary. All full-time employees are also eligible to be considered for a discretionary bonus at the end of each fiscal year. These ranges are just initial estimates. They may vary depending on market or location and may be adjusted depending on the person we end up hiring for this role, their experience, and market dynamics.
