Description KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Negotiates complex technology transfer agreements with industry or sources of capital investment in university technology. - Manages an extensive intellectual property portfolio including valuating, marketing and licensing intellectual property, managing patent and/or copyright prosecution, monitoring licensee's obligations under license agreements and instructing the Financial Analyst in the distribution of royalties to the appropriate entities. - Serves as a liaison with university departments to execute technology transfer agreements. - Educates the research community on the value of intellectual property and technology transfer. - Assists the director in the selection of online and other market research tools. - Trains licensing associate staff regarding Emory's intellectual property portfolio and effective negotiating skills relative to a wide range of industries or potential funding sources. - Participates in the development of technology transfer policies. - Maintains professional growth by participating in educational programs and professional organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices and developments. - Adheres to University, state and federal guidelines with respect to technology transfer agreements. - Manages special projects as required. Performs related responsibilities as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - A J.D. or a graduate degree in business or a related science discipline. - Four years of licensing experience in industry or an academic environment. NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. The Quality Coordinator will work as an extension of the local Practice Location and Provider teams by completing Population Health Management tasks in a centralized location. This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer weeks of paid training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule. Duration of training will depend on candidate's learning curve. Training for the role is through shadowing. Primary Responsibilities: - Assisting in the review of medical records to highlight opportunities for the medical staff. - Locate medical screening results/documentation to ensure the closure of gaps in care/suspect medical conditions. - Will not conduct any evaluation or interpretation of clinical data and will be supervised by licensed and/or certified staff - Activities may include data collection, data entry, insurance verification, quality monitoring, HQPAF submission and chart collection activities. - Documents and updates patient records in NextGen. - Navigating multiple different EMR systems - Partners with your leadership team, the practice administrative or clinical staff to determine best strategies to support the practice and our members. - Interaction with members via telephone to assist and support an appropriate level of care. • Ensure that Perceptive's research projects are conducted on time and within budget by leading the internal project teams and collaborating with our sponsors and clinical CRO partners • Responsible for leading and managing early and late phase imaging projects by utilizing project management tools to plan, track, prioritize and communicate timelines and deliverables to the internal and external teams • Manage the study to contract specifications and timelines, including proactive management of budget, pass-through costs and change orders as necessary • Actively manage the timelines considering impact on resources and revenue forecasting • Organize and hold regularly scheduled project team meetings with the client and internal teams, managing the agenda, meeting minutes and actions
