Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with a strong focus on product development, preferably in consumer electronics or ruggedized outdoor equipment.
- Expertise in transitioning products from concept to mass production, including deep experience working closely with contract manufacturers and overseas suppliers.
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software; experience with FEA, thermal analysis, injection molding, and tolerance stack-up analysis to properly audit partner designs.
- Proven track record of solving complex engineering problems through innovative design, rapid iteration, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, manage risk, and drive multiple projects to completion in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

ROLE SUMMARY The Substation Design Engineer III leads early-stage design of high-voltage substations supporting renewable energy interconnections.
