Regional Commodity Manager
Switzerland Global Enterprise
• Develop and execute commodity strategies to meet GSI NAM Project needs ensuring cost, quality and delivery • Identify, evaluate and manage supplier relationships • Track market trends, commodity prices and risks to implement buy strategies • Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality team to assess, and qualify new suppliers • Negotiate master supply agreements as well as project-specific agreements for equipment and material • Work closely with Tender Sourcing Leaders on commercial bids to align on commodity strategy, ensuring supplier evaluation and selection is completed in tender stage • Implement operating rhythm for continuous improvement, accountability, and efficiency in supplier engagement in Execution • Drive KPIs: Deflation, DTP, Quality, Compliance, OTD • Source and develop certified minority, veteran-owned, women-owned, and small business suppliers to achieve customer requirements • Ensure compliance with GE sourcing policies and procedures
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing category management in manufacturing industry or project environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with contracting and negotiation of equipment and material
- Ability and willingness to travel 30% of the time, and must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies
