Role Description Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Power Distribution. The Lead Design Engineer (LDE) is responsible for leading design deliverables to maintain project schedule, design budget, design accuracy, and submittal completeness working in concert with a broader execution team. The LDE is charged with value added engineering to provide a quality product while driving efficiencies. This is a fully remote position with 10% travel. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. - Provide design engineering services instrumental to the completion of turnkey projects. - Provide engineering guidance to teams of designers/discipline specific engineers to create complete designs including both electrical and civil packages. - Responsible for leading design deliverables to maintain project schedule, design budget, design accuracy, and submittal completeness working in concert with a broader execution team. - Charged with value added engineering to provide a quality product while driving efficiencies. - Ability to lead medium/high voltage designs for both substations and MV power distribution. - Participate in site walk downs to assist in developing proposals for new work. - Develop engineering estimates to develop scope, budget, and review technical documents. - Ability to develop and maintain schedule/budget. - Ability to work with and mentor other engineers on team. Qualifications - BS in electrical engineering from an accredited institution - Minimum of three (3) years of experience - Candidates must be located in PA, OH, NJ, NY, WV, MD, IL, IN, DE, or MI to be considered. Requirements - Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. - Five (5) years of experience preferred. - EIT or PE License preferred. - Field experience in testing/commissioning medium voltage equipment preferred. - Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred. Skills - Knowledge/exposure to LV and MV equipment ranging from 480V – 138kV. - Ability to maintain schedule and budget. - Ability to work with remote team of engineers. - Obtain mentoring from lead engineers. - Assist in engineering estimates to develop scope, budget, and review technical documents. - Knowledge and understanding of turnkey projects. - Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Working knowledge of NEC, NESC, ANSI, IEEE. - Periodic travel to sites during construction/commissioning. - Submit to periodic drug and background screens for compliance with customer entrance requirements in order to perform on-site work. What you’ll do Facilities Engineering & Operations Leadership - Provide engineering support for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of industrial warehouse and office facilities. - Support facility condition assessments, audits, and lifecycle evaluations. - Partner cross-functionally to ensure regulatory and operational compliance. Capital Projects & Financial Oversight - Help support planning and execution of multi-site capital projects and facility upgrades. - Develop, manage, and report on CapEx budgets. - Evaluate scopes, schedules, and cost estimates. Standards, Documentation & Governance - Partner with lead on the development of enterprise-wide facilities standards and design guidelines. - Establish standardized maintenance and asset management procedures. - Ensure consistency across all facilities. - Maintain drawings, as-builts, and system documentation. Space Planning, Office Layouts & Design - Work on space planning and layout design using AutoCAD. - Help develop conceptual layouts and detailed drawings. - Coordinate with project teams to ensure design intent. Vendor & Contractor Management - Provide support to architects, engineers, and contractors. - Conduct site visits, commissioning, and punch-list reviews. - Ensure quality, safety, schedule, and budget compliance. What you’ll need - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. - Minimum 8 years of progressive facilities engineering or industrial facilities experience. - Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD. - Strong knowledge of building systems and warehouse infrastructure. - Experience managing capital budgets and multi-site projects. - Knowledge of building codes, life safety, and regulatory compliance. - Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Our Environment - Travel could be up to 50% of the time. This role collaborates closely with engineers, architects, and cross-functional project teams to deliver high-quality, code-compliant electrical designs. - Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and objectives - Develop electrical system layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams - Design electrical systems for: - Industrial machinery - Building systems - Automation systems - Other electrical applications - Specify and select electrical components, materials, and equipment - Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks Electrical, etc.) to create and modify drawings - Maintain proficiency in design software and stay current with enhancements - Perform drawing updates and revisions as required - Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes and industry standards (NEC, IEEE, etc.) - Review designs for adherence to regulatory and safety requirements - Prepare and maintain organized documentation including: - Electrical drawings - Specifications - Bills of Materials (BOMs) - Prepare technical reports and project documentation - Perform quality checks and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness - Work with engineers, architects, vendors, and plant staff to integrate electrical systems - Address design-related issues and provide effective solutions - Support project stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle Qualifications - Associate degree in Electrical Design, Drafting Technology, or related field - 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Designer or similar role - Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design - Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and design practices - Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, etc.) - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Requirements - Experience with PLC programming and control systems - Experience in industrial or power-related environments - Experience working directly with plant operations teams

• Audit 3rd party electrical work. • Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including installation reports and testing results. • Install and wire electrical systems for parcel locker units, including power supply and network connections. • Follow survey documents and technical specifications to ensure the proper installation of electrical components. • Provide daily guidance and technical support to third party contractors. • Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs as needed to ensure all systems are functioning correctly. • Ensure compliance with all local electrical and safety regulations. • Work with team members to ensure timely and efficient installation or audits of 3rd party contractors. • Conduct system tests to verify electrical connections, ensuring all locker systems are operational. • Provide support for ongoing maintenance and any electrical repairs post-installation. • Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are safely used and maintained.
