• Own the build out of the marketing sub-function at Velsera • Establish and champion Velsera’s corporate brand identity, messaging, and visual standards across all marketing channels and stakeholder touchpoints • Identify and execute integrated marketing campaigns across omni-channels—including digital, email, social media, events, and content marketing—to promote Velsera’s products and services to target markets • Working closely with the Sales team on managing contacts and nurturing leads • Rigorously vet leads, moving qualified leads forward to the Sales team • Empower the sales team more and create a tighter working relationship between marketing and sales • Identify the right industry tradeshows and thought leadership forums for Velsera to participate in, and play point on the planning and execution of these events in coordination with subject matter experts • In coordination with subject matter experts, develop white papers, case studies, and thought leadership materials to drive lead generation and demand for Velsera’s solutions • Other duties as assigned
Role Description The Director, Marketing at Velsera drives, in partnership with Commercial, Sales, and cross-functional leaders across the organization, the development and execution of integrated corporate marketing programs that establish Velsera’s brand, amplify its market presence, and drive demand for its products and services across target markets. This Marketing leader will partner and coach, creating an environment of accountability, innovation, and impact as well as overseeing team prioritization, resource management, and ongoing performance optimization. Healthcare or scientific software experience preferred. - 5+ years leading and managing a marketing or other commercial team - Experience with marketing specifically for lead generation in a B2B environment is required. - Experience planning and executing corporate marketing events, tradeshows, and industry conferences, including vendor relationships, logistics, and on-site execution, required. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Experience developing white papers, thought leadership content, and demand generation materials, including project management in coordination with subject matter experts, required. Qualifications - 10+ years of direct selling experience in selling SaaS or genetics/genomics solutions to Life Science organizations (pharma, biotech, CROs) and Academic Medical Centers. - Proven track record of closing strategic enterprise deals of $1M+ in total contract value, with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. - Knowledge of strategic sales development techniques essential and SFDC, Microsoft Office experience strongly preferred. - BS in Genetics, microbiology or a related degree. - An ability to network at all organizational levels. - Ability to understand and present technical and/or scientific concepts and material clearly and effectively. - Team player with an ability to thrive while working independently, and also support a team to drive new and current business. - English language is mandatory.
