• Build the Corporate Engine & IPO Readiness: Design and implement a best-in-class corporate governance framework to transition VAST from a late-stage private company to a public-market-ready enterprise. • Manage legal workstreams that identify and manage risk and prepare us for future diligence events. • Own the Board of Directors and Committee process: collaborate with the CLO and CEO on agendas, draft minutes, and manage board prep. • Act as the lead legal counsel for all M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investments. • Manage the full deal lifecycle from NDAs and due diligence to definitive agreement negotiation and post-closing. • Partner with Finance and Tax to lead VAST’s international expansion, including entity formation, intercompany agreements, and local regulatory compliance across EMEA, APJ, and beyond. • Serve as a trusted advisor to the People (HR) team on executive compensation, global equity incentive plans (including tax implications), and sensitive employment matters. • Build and scale "Legal Ops" processes, templates, and playbooks to drive efficiency.

• Develop and improve internal toolsets that directly support the Sales Engineers, improving their ability to quickly deliver VAST value to our customers. • Automate tasks involved in the VAST sales and delivery process. • Manage infrastructure supporting critical web-based applications. • Maintain infrastructure supporting Docker-based applications. • Develop and maintain internal and external facing applications built on various technologies such as Node.JS, Angular, SCSS, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, AWS ECS (and related services such as S3, ALB, EC2, SSM, etc.).

• Lead technical discovery with customers across infrastructure, platform, ML, data, and executive stakeholders. • Design architectures for large-scale AI, HPC, analytics, and enterprise data workloads. • Help customers evaluate infrastructure involving GPUs, storage, networking, orchestration, and data movement. • Design and execute proofs of concept that validate performance, scale, reliability, and business value. • Translate complex technical requirements into clear solution designs, reference architectures, and deployment guidance. • Debug customer issues across Linux, storage, networking, Kubernetes, schedulers, GPUs, and application workloads. • Build technical assets, demos, runbooks, and field guidance for repeatable customer engagements. • Partner with sales on technical strategy, competitive positioning, and deal execution. • Partner with product and engineering to communicate customer requirements, gaps, and roadmap opportunities. • Help customers move from architecture design to production deployment.

• Define and execute the global strategy for how VAST engages customers as advocates, storytellers, and strategic partners • Build a scalable program that brings forward the most important customer voices in AI today • Partner closely with executive leadership, product, sales, and communications to ensure customer stories are deployed with precision • Implement and scale a customer advocacy platform to drive measurable impact across pipeline, deal acceleration, and customer-led growth initiatives • Drive creation of high-impact customer content: case studies, videos, keynote appearances, blogs, and social • Lead customer participation across flagship events and curate customers for keynote and breakout speaking roles • Equip sales teams with the right customer proof points to accelerate deals • Define success metrics tied to pipeline influence, deal acceleration, and brand impact

• You will be the "legal architect" for VAST’s corporate infrastructure. • Design and implement a best-in-class corporate governance framework to transition VAST from a late-stage private company to a public-market-ready enterprise. • Act as the lead legal counsel for all M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investments. • Manage legal workstreams that identify and manage risk and prepare us for future diligence events. • Partner with Finance and Tax to lead VAST’s international expansion, including entity formation, intercompany agreements, and local regulatory compliance across EMEA, APJ, and beyond.

• Build deep relationships with Sales and Marketing. • Drive financial planning, analysis, and strategic decisions. • Own and refine the foundational GTM FP&A infrastructure. • Design and implement a robust GTM analytics framework. • Drive financial discipline and operational maturity. • Contribute to executive, board, and investor reporting. • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support critical GTM operating priorities.

• Assist customers with evaluations and benchmarks, system configurations, and system installations. • Work closely with VAST R&D Engineering in helping to define product requirements and usability, including the creation of product specification documents. • Participate in the creation of sales strategy and tactics and takes ownership of technical responsibilities within customer accounts. • Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the DAS, NAS and SAN product spaces. • Creation of architecture “blueprints” for repeatable solutions that the Sales team will deliver to the customer community. • Help with the development of a dispersed group of system and field engineers. • Consult on how to form and build and manage a Support organization.

This position reports directly to the Vice President, Digital COE (The Digital COE includes developer enablement and advocacy both in online communities and in-person).
