Role Description The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for leading capital equipment projects that support the growth, modernization, safety, and optimization of plastics manufacturing operations. This position manages projects from concept through production startup, including identifying and developing equipment specifications, vendor evaluation, process design, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities - Capital Planning & Equipment Strategy: - Evaluate manufacturing capacity requirements and identify capital equipment investments needed to support business growth. - Develop equipment specifications for extrusion, cast acrylic manufacturing, resin handling, material conveying, blending, automated packaging, robotics, and secondary operations. - Equipment Procurement & Vendor Management: - Develop RFQs, technical specifications, and statements of work for capital equipment projects. - Solicit, review, and compare vendor quotations, technical proposals, and commercial terms. - Project Management: - Lead capital equipment projects from concept through startup and full production validation. - Equipment Installation & Commissioning: - Manage equipment delivery, rigging, installation, utility connections, and startup activities. - Coordinate facility modifications, electrical requirements, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, resin delivery systems, and process cooling infrastructure. - Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: - Analyze production performance following implementation and identify opportunities for optimization. - Support OEE improvement initiatives and manufacturing cost reduction programs. - Partner with Operations and Process Engineering teams to improve machine utilization, efficiency, and product quality. - Safety, Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities: - Lead the integration of safety requirements into all capital equipment projects from concept through startup. - Ensure equipment designs comply with OSHA regulations, machine guarding requirements, lockout/tagout (LOTO) standards, electrical safety requirements, and applicable ANSI, NFPA, and industry standards. - Drive a zero-injury culture by promoting safe work practices and proactively addressing safety concerns throughout project execution. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline. - 7+ years of experience managing capital equipment projects within a plastics manufacturing environment. - Chemical manufacturing background. - Experience with injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, blow molding, or related plastics processing technologies. Role Description The SAP Manager will serve as the company’s primary point of contact and internal owner for SAP ECC 6. This role requires broad understanding of how ERP systems function across multiple business areas, how core SAP modules interact, and how upstream and downstream processes integrate. The SAP Manager will act as the liaison between business users, internal leadership, IT, Finance, Operations, and external SAP support partners to ensure SAP issues are properly prioritized, communicated, resolved, and documented. Essential Functions - SAP FICO Leadership & Support (30%): - Provide hands-on leadership, design, configuration, and day-to-day support for SAP FICO solutions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CO), and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). - Direct FICO functional support experience, including troubleshooting production issues, supporting business users, configuring solutions, and ensuring stable operation of critical finance processes. - Partner closely with Finance and Controlling teams to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient SAP solutions. - Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities within SAP, ensuring compliance, accurate financial reporting, and minimal system downtime. - Serve as the primary escalation point for complex FICO-related issues and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to drive timely resolution. - Strategic Management & Governance (40%): - Act as the primary liaison between executive leadership, including the CFO and CIO, business stakeholders, IT teams, and external consulting partners. - Provide both strategic direction and operational oversight for SAP Finance solutions. - Oversee SAP system upgrades, enhancement packs, patch implementations, and support initiatives. - Establish and enforce SAP best practices, data governance standards, security controls, and audit requirements. - Ensure ongoing alignment between SAP capabilities and business objectives while maintaining a reliable and supportable ERP environment. - SAP Support, Integration & Business Relationship Management (30%): - Serve as the primary point of contact for all SAP-related questions, incidents, enhancement requests, and business process issues across the organization. - Provide direct support for SAP FICO while maintaining a strong understanding of integrated processes across MM, SD, PP, and other modules. - Review and triage incoming tickets, assess business impact, determine resolution paths, and coordinate with third-party SAP support partners. - Work closely with business users to understand issues, gather requirements, identify process gaps, and translate business needs into actionable SAP solutions and support requests. - Manage ticket prioritization, track open issues, coordinate testing, validate resolutions, and ensure timely communication of status updates and next steps. - Resolve cross-functional process and integration issues, oversee system enhancements, and evaluate the downstream financial and operational impacts of changes. Additional Responsibilities - Maintain ownership of SAP issue triage and escalation processes. - Serve as the liaison between the business and third-party SAP support provider. - Support Finance-related SAP activities as needed, including coordination around key close and reporting periods. - Coordinate SAP support across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and other business areas as needed. - Document recurring SAP issues, resolutions, workarounds, process gaps, and escalation procedures. - Monitor open SAP tickets and ensure timely resolution based on business priority. - Assist with SAP testing for fixes, enhancements, upgrades, interfaces, and process changes. - Partner with business and functional leaders to improve SAP processes, resolve cross-functional issues, and reduce recurring problems. - Coordinate SAP reporting needs, including standard reports, custom reports, variants, and data extracts. - Ensure proper documentation of SAP processes, controls, access changes, and support procedures. - Support audit requests related to SAP transactions, user access, change activity, and financial reporting. - Work with third-party SAP consultants to ensure business requirements are clearly communicated and delivered. Qualifications - Strong hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6. - At least 5 years of experience providing functional support. - Broad SAP or ERP background with understanding of how key business functions and modules work together. - Experience supporting business processes within an ERP environment, including understanding of module dependencies, transaction flow, reporting, and integrations. - Ability to triage SAP issues across multiple business areas and understand downstream impacts across modules and integrated processes. - Experience managing SAP tickets, user support, issue resolution, and third-party escalations. - Understanding of SAP user roles and responsibilities. - Strong communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical users. - Ability to translate business issues into clear SAP support requirements. - Working knowledge of Finance processes in SAP sufficient to coordinate support and business needs. - Strong documentation, follow-up, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
