• Support thermoforming application development through trials, equipment, and process development for thin and thick gauge manufacturing. • Identify and match technical performance attributes of products to new application opportunities identified by Sales and Marketing.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related or equivalent
  • With B.S. degree, five years packaging experience in the field of extrusion and thermoforming equipment and processes.
  • Must have solid expertise in plastics thermoforming for thin and thick gauge applications.
  • Preferred experience with plastic sheet extrusion.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time.
  • Knowledge of key production processes (extrusion, thermoforming, etc.) and polymer behavior
  • Knowledge of polymers utilized in plastics manufacturing (extrusion – thermoforming).
  • Knowledge of key equipment utilized in extrusion, thermoforming and part finishing
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels and types of internal and external individuals, including customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to work in and support a team environment
  • Ability to write operational and project reports, correspondence, policies and procedures
  • High level of proficiency in computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power Point
  • Analytical and mathematical skills necessary to collect, interpret, and act on process trials and activities
  • Ability to meet physical demands associated with position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
