• Build and manage the weekly forecast process: pipeline hygiene, stage definitions, deal inspection cadence, and CRM data integrity. Build metrics dashboards and reports that give GTM leadership a real-time view of pipeline health, win rates, productivity, and efficiency trends. • We have so much potential in both new business and within our PLG base. As the team begins to define the right sales motions, we want to scale them and vastly increase the output and impact of our sales reps. Directly, this will be building our integrated tooling with Clay, Salesforce, and other tools like our sales engagement tool. • We are a small team and there will be a lot to do! This role is part of the group defining strategic priorities and how to execute.
• Own Render's brand strategy and positioning. Partner with the Head of Design, product marketing, and executive stakeholders to lock positioning, brand attributes, and messaging architecture. You'll hold the hard line between production-grade credibility and the developer warmth that built Render. • Set and uphold the creative vision across surfaces. From the marketing site to events (our developer conference, internal gatherings, and DevRel moments), social, brand, and product touchpoints, and the systems that make expression repeatable: visual identity, motion, illustration, voice, and tone. You'll define what great looks like and ensure everything we ship clears that bar. • Lead and grow the brand design team. You'll manage, mentor, and develop a founding team of senior brand designers, and shape the team's structure as Render scales. • Build brand as a system, not a series of one-offs. You'll drive the brand toward documented, reusable systems — guidelines, a versioned asset library, a maturing marketing design system — and keep brand and product design in sync as both evolve. • Bring order to how our brand work ships. You'll shape how we prioritize and deliver creative work, maintaining a high-quality bar amid fast launch velocity and competing demands. • Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering leadership on how the brand shows up. These are in the company's biggest moments: launches, events, fundraising, and the next generation of Render's product surfaces.
• Own the accounting operations function, driving scalable, efficient, and well-controlled processes across procure-to-pay, payroll, expense management, corporate card programs, vendor management, and other operational accounting areas as the company grows • Own accounts payable and payment operations, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment execution, corporate card administration, expense management, and related controls • Own accounting operations related to payroll including reconciliation of payroll liabilities, employee deductions, benefits, 401K, flexible spending plans and other payroll related accounts • Ensure quarterly and annual payroll tax filings are accurate and timely in coordination with our payroll provider • Own accounting operations systems and workflows, driving workflow redesign, automation initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements that strengthen internal controls, support audit readiness, reduce friction, and improve how employees interact with accounting processes • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, People, IT& Security teams, and other stakeholders to improve operational workflows and strengthen controls across purchasing, payroll, expense management, and other accounting operations processes • Act as a key partner during audits and compliance activities, owning assigned workstreams and coordinating across internal and external stakeholders • Support the monthly financial close, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, journal entries, and preparation of management reporting • Own balance sheet reconciliations for payroll, bank, accounts payable, prepaids, fixed assets, and other GL accounts • Take ownership of special projects and evolving responsibilities in a fast-growing environment, bringing structure and follow-through to ambiguous work
Software Engineer – Compute Infrastructure
RenderThe modern cloud provider for all your apps and websites.
• Own Render's core compute infrastructure across multiple cloud providers, regions, and data centers. You'll shape how we evolve our compute platform as we rapidly scale. • Design and build capabilities that give users greater performance and flexibility in how their services are built, deployed, perform, and stay available even when underlying resources go down. • Investigate challenging cloud and compute issues across the stack, from the kernel and data plane to our kubernetes cluster, control plane, and other orchestration mechanisms. • Improve the performance and reliability of our infrastructure through systematic profiling, experimentation, and tuning. • Partner with engineers across the company to build a platform that is stable, predictable, and secure. • Participate in our on-call rotation. Help continuously improve how we detect, respond to, and learn from incidents.
Software Engineer, Dev Velocity – All Levels
RenderThe modern cloud provider for all your apps and websites.
• Improve speed and reliability of early change feedback • Invest in build and dependency tooling, caching, incremental builds, and monorepo ergonomics, to keep iteration tight as the codebase grows. • Accelerate our CI/CD pipelines - cutting build, test, and deploy times while keeping the path to production safe and reversible. • Make our test suites fast and trustworthy: parallelization, smart test selection, flaky-test detection, and better local/preview environments built on the same primitives our customers use. • Design and build tools to support concurrent agent execution • Make test feedback fast enough to live inside an agent's loop, where slow or flaky runs compound across every attempt. • Get agents the right context (codebase conventions, service ownership, recent changes, environment state) so their first attempt lands closer to correct. • Simplify and establish repeatable patterns • Reduce toil through automation, paving over repetitive workflows and manual steps wherever they slow people down. • Instrument the engineering org with meaningful signals (deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, time to restore) and turn them into action. • Build and participate in an on-call rotation as the team takes ownership of critical systems.
• Serve as the named technical point of contact for a portfolio of Render's highest-value customers—primarily AI-native startups, technology companies, and scaled SaaS businesses • Lead structured onboarding for new customers: architecture reviews, environment setup, team enablement, and establishing production readiness standards from day one • Proactively monitor customer health signals—service stability, resource utilization, deployment frequency, support ticket patterns—and intervene early to prevent performance degradation and churn • Conduct regular technical check-ins and executive business reviews (EBRs/QBRs) with engineering and infrastructure leaders, translating platform usage data into business-relevant insights • Develop deep familiarity with each customer's architecture and growth trajectory to identify natural expansion opportunities: additional services, higher compute tiers, Postgres scaling, team seat growth, and new workload types • Collaborate with Account Executives to surface expansion signals, build joint account plans, and execute upsell and cross-sell motions grounded in genuine technical advice • Drive adoption of new Render capabilities—especially those relevant to AI/ML workloads such as autoscaling for inference, high-throughput background job pipelines, and preview environments • Help customers design and optimize infrastructure for AI-native applications: LLM API integrations, vector database connections, async inference queues, streaming endpoints, and multi-service orchestration • Capture and escalate structured product feedback from customers, creating a feedback loop that shapes the roadmap based on what matters most to Render's top accounts • Work with Support and Engineering on complex escalations, acting as the customer's technical advocate to drive timely resolution while maintaining trust and transparency
• Lead and grow a team of platform engineers, supporting their development through mentorship, feedback, and clear technical guidance. • Drive execution on key product initiatives from ideation through launch, balancing speed with high standards of reliability and quality. • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across engineering practices and team processes. • Engage deeply in technical discussions, guiding system design decisions and helping the team navigate architectural tradeoffs. • Stay up to date with relevant industry trends, emerging tools, and developer practices that will inform future team learning and opportunities for investment. • Help the team break down complex problems into incremental milestones that deliver value quickly while supporting long-term platform evolution. • Ensure teams maintain a strong understanding of the developer experience and reliability, security, and velocity impact of the features they build. • Partner closely with other teams like Runtime, Security, and Product to understand needs, align priorities, and ensure delivery of impactful features and solutions through thoughtful technical solutions and product roadmaps.
• Lead technical discovery with prospects—uncovering infrastructure requirements, architecture constraints, scale targets, and migration complexity to build a clear path to Render • Deliver customized product demonstrations that map Render's capabilities directly to each prospect's use case, including persistent compute, autoscaling, Postgres, background workers, cron jobs, preview environments, and Blueprints • Architect and run proof-of-concept deployments that prove Render can handle real production workloads—LLM-powered applications, multi-service stacks, async pipelines, and beyond • Serve as the go-to technical expert for prospects migrating from Heroku, including teams with complex multi-dyno architectures, large Postgres databases, and third-party add-on dependencies • Develop and maintain migration playbooks, demo environments, and POC templates that reduce time-to-value for prospects and enable the broader team to move faster • Handle technical objections and competitive comparisons—including against AWS, GCP, Railway, and Fly.io—with honest, well-reasoned arguments that build trust • Respond to technical sections of RFPs and security questionnaires with accuracy and speed • Collaborate with Account Executives to build multi-stakeholder consensus across engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure decision-makers • Synthesize field feedback into structured product input for Engineering and Product, helping prioritize the roadmap based on what's winning and losing deals • Contribute to technical marketing content—migration guides, blog posts, webinars—that builds Render's credibility with developer audiences
