Ready to make a real impact on global health and wellness care? Practice Better is an all-in-one platform helping health and wellness practitioners run their businesses, care for their clients, and scale their impact. Founded by practitioners in 2016, we’re now the leading EHR and practice management platform in the wellness industry, trusted by tens of thousands of practitioners across 70+ countries. In 2023, we expanded our whole-practice care offering through the acquisition of That Clean Life, bringing nutrition planning into our platform. We’re a remote-first team headquartered in Toronto, made up of curious, driven, and empathetic people building tools that help practitioners create sustainable, independent practices; and do the most meaningful work of their careers. While most of our work happens remotely, we come together regularly for off-sites and team events to stay connected and build together. Important notice to our applicants and job seekers: We've become aware of fraudulent messages impersonating Practice Better's recruitment team. Please note: - Practice Better will never ask for payment, banking details, or personal financial information at any stage of the hiring process - All official communication comes from @practicebetter.io email addresses - We will never ask you to purchase equipment, software, or gift cards - We will never conduct interviews solely via text message or WhatsApp If something feels off, trust your instincts. Verify any suspicious outreach by contacting us directly at careers@practicebetter.io before taking any action. Thank you for helping us keep our hiring process safe and transparent. Practice Better runs a modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Stitch, Hightouch) and an internal AI warehouse agent that powers how our go-to-market teams access and act on data. The infrastructure is solid, and we're looking for someone who takes full ownership of it — and, more importantly, deeply understands the data running through it. This isn't a traditional data engineering role. We don't need someone who only knows how to build pipelines. We need someone who understands how the business works — how Stripe processes transactions, how HubSpot triggers campaigns, how churn is calculated and where the nuance lives — and uses that understanding to make the data layer trustworthy, actionable, and clear. This is a sole-contributor role on a small, high-output team. You'll own the full stack — pipelines, data models, integrations, and the data layer underpinning our AI-assisted analytics — but your real value is in connecting the dots between systems, data, and the humans who make decisions from it. You'll partner closely with the Head of RevOps, the broader data/analytics team, and stakeholders across the GTM motion. If you've thrived at a small, fast-moving company where you wore many hats and no one handed you a spec — this is that role, amplified. What You’ll Be Doing Understand the Business Through the Data - Develop a deep working knowledge of how our core business systems function — Stripe, Square, HubSpot, and others — not just as data sources, but as interconnected systems with mechanics that shape what the data means - Be the person who can explain why a number looks the way it does, not just where it came from - Partner with stakeholders across Growth, Customer Success, Marketing, and Payments to understand data dependencies, surface issues early, and translate business context into technical requirements - Act as a thought partner and soundboard for the Head of RevOps — challenge assumptions, highlight anomalies, and communicate at a level that drives decisions Own the Data Stack - Own and evolve the full data infrastructure: Snowflake, dbt, Stitch, Rivery, and pipeline orchestration - Build and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines and dbt models supporting analytics, reporting, and the AI warehouse agent - Manage Snowflake for performance, cost, and reliability - Build and maintain integrations between production systems and the data warehouse Ensure Data Quality & Reliability - Implement data quality monitoring, testing frameworks, and alerting so problems surface before they reach stakeholders - Trace anomalies to root causes and ensure leadership is making decisions on reliable data - Establish and maintain data governance standards: documentation, access controls, and metric definitions - Partner with Product and Engineering to instrument event tracking and ensure complete data capture across the customer journey Advance AI-Assisted Data Workflows - Design and evolve AI-assisted data workflows — including our internal warehouse agent — ensuring they're powered by clean, well-modeled, trustworthy data - Bring strong intuition for AI failure modes and how to constrain systems for reliability - Enable stakeholders to self-serve through AI-assisted tooling; your work is what makes that possible What You Bring - 3–5+ years in a data-focused role — data engineering, analytics engineering, BI engineering, or data science with an engineering bent - Experience at a small or mid-stage company where you owned the full picture — not just a slice of a pipeline at a large org. You've had to figure out how systems connect, what numbers mean, and how to explain both - A genuine curiosity about business systems. You'll proactively dig into Stripe documentation, trace how a HubSpot workflow triggers, or investigate why a churn metric doesn't look right — without being asked - SQL and working experience with dbt and Snowflake (or equivalent warehouse tooling) - Proficiency for pipeline development and automation — AI tooling can accelerate execution, but you need the underlying engineering foundation to direct it and catch where it breaks. - Experience building and optimizing ELT/ETL pipelines at scale, with strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and dimensional modeling. - Clear, proactive communication. You can articulate findings, challenge assumptions, and translate technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders - A pragmatic approach to AI — you actively use AI tools to accelerate your own work and you think carefully about making the data underneath AI systems trustworthy - Experience with version control (Git) Compensation & Pay Transparency At Practice Better, we believe in pay transparency, equity, and fairness. We benchmark compensation against similar-stage, high-growth SaaS companies in both Canada and the United States and review our salary bands regularly to ensure they remain competitive and aligned with market trends. While most of our work happens remotely, we come together regularly for off-sites and team events to stay connected and build together. Position Summary We are looking for an Account Executive to join our growing team. In this role you will own the full sales cycle (from pipeline generation through close) bringing our platform to the wellness practitioners, clinic owners, and health teams who need it most. You’ll lead deep discovery conversations using a needs-based, curiosity-first approach, connecting what you learn directly to platform capabilities that improve client retention, increase revenue per practitioner, and simplify day-to-day operations for practices. You’ll manage buying cycles across clinical and operational stakeholders, often within small but growing practices deciding whether to switch platforms, while keeping your pipeline healthy, your forecasting accurate, and your handoffs clean. You’ll join at a foundational moment for our Sales-Led Growth motion, helping shape the playbooks, processes, and patterns that define how Practice Better sells going forward. The ideal candidate is a self-directed, consultative seller who thrives when the playbook is still being built. You communicate clearly, move with purpose, and focus on solutions over perfection. Bonus points if you've sold into health, wellness, or practitioner-led businesses; have experience in product-led or sales-assisted SaaS motions; or have built prospecting sequences and outreach approaches from scratch rather than inheriting them. This role is right for you if: - You're energized by outbound and genuinely enjoy creating conversations from scratch - You believe the best salespeople are the most curious people in the room - You want to build something, not just execute on what's already proven This role is probably not right for you if: - You prefer a high-ACV, slow-burn enterprise motion with long sales cycles - You need a fully documented playbook to operate confidently - You measure yourself primarily by deal size rather than relationships built Note: Practice Better is a remote-first company with team members across North America. However, this particular role is currently open to Denver-based candidates only, and preference will be given to applicants legally authorized to work in the US. What You’ll Be Doing - Own a full-cycle quota, driving new subscription ARR from growing wellness practices through discovery, demo, negotiation, and close. - Build and manage your pipeline through thoughtful outbound prospecting and strong conversion of high-intent inbound opportunities. - Lead consultative discovery with practitioners and clinic owners to understand growth goals, workflows, and revenue drivers. - Deliver tailored demos that connect Practice Better’s platform to real outcomes like client retention, practitioner revenue, and operational efficiency. - Navigate multi-stakeholder buying cycles, confidently managing objections, pricing conversations, and procurement steps. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Assist, Customer Success, and Product to improve conversion and ensure smooth activation. - Help shape the sales playbook, contributing insights and patterns that build a scalable Sales-Led Growth motion. What You Bring - 2–5 years of full-cycle SaaS sales experience, ideally in SMB or Mid-Market environments, with a track record of generating and closing your own pipeline. - Consistent quota achievement in a role where you owned both pipeline generation and deal execution. - Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to ask sharp questions, uncover real business pain, and connect solutions to ROI. - Comfort running multi-stakeholder sales cycles, managing deal momentum and decision processes independently. - Experience working in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce) and familiarity with modern prospecting and sales enablement tools. - Clear communicator and strong collaborator, with a bias toward action and accountability. - Curious, analytical, and adaptable, comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where the playbook is still evolving. Bonus Points - Experience selling into health, wellness, healthcare, or practitioner-led businesses (e.g., clinics, therapy practices, coaching, or allied health). - Background in product-led or sales-assisted SaaS environments where inbound, trials, or high-intent users are part of the motion. - Experience closing multi-seat or team-based deals with growing small businesses. - Demonstrated success in an early-stage or scaling SaaS company where you helped refine playbooks or sales processes. - Familiarity with subscription pricing models, payment processing, or revenue workflow tools. Compensation & Pay Transparency At Practice Better, we believe in pay transparency, equity, and fairness.
