Role Description The Category Director, Appliances is a strategic, digital-first merchandising leader responsible for owning the full assortment, pricing strategy, vendor relationships, and product experience for mSupply’s Appliance category. This role reports to the VP of Merchandising and serves as the primary category owner driving revenue and AOV growth across MyMarcone and mSupply Partner Sites. This role is digital-first by design, owning the product experience, assortment strategy, and data quality across eCommerce platforms. As the organization evolves, this role will expand to include brick-and-mortar branch alignment, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints. Job Duties & Responsibilities - Own full Appliance category assortment strategy including SKU selection, model coverage, depth, breadth, and lifecycle management across major appliances, replacement parts, and accessories. - Define and execute pricing strategy in partnership with Finance and Business Unit leadership, focusing on margin performance, competitive positioning, and MAP compliance where applicable. - Identify and drive cross-sell and attachment opportunities across appliances, repair parts, installation kits, accessories, and extended service offerings. - Develop and maintain category scorecards; lead regular performance reviews with Business Unit leadership. - Translate preferred supplier program strategy into customer-facing assortment and promotional opportunities. - Own Appliance product experience across eCommerce platforms, including category structure, model-based navigation, PDP content quality, and search performance. - Partner with Data and PIM teams to ensure taxonomy completeness, SKU enrichment, and accuracy of model-specific attributes (e.g., compatibility, specifications, dimensions, finishes). - Ensure Appliance category readiness for MyMarcone platform, including product data, assortment, and merchandising strategy integration. - Leverage appliance-specific digital tools (e.g., model lookup, parts diagrams, compatibility tools) to improve conversion and customer experience. - Monitor and optimize digital performance metrics such as conversion rate, AOV, attach rate, and digital penetration. - Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, promotions, and content strategy aligned to revenue and AOV targets (e.g., seasonal demand, promotional cycles, replacement trends). - Serve as the Appliance category voice in IT and Digital discussions related to platform features, search, navigation, and product data. - Build strong relationships with Appliance Business Unit leadership to align on demand signals, product availability, and category insights. - Partner with Finance on pricing strategy, margin optimization, and budget planning. - Extend category strategy to branch locations over time, ensuring alignment across digital and physical channels. - Partner with branch and regional teams to translate digital merchandising strategies into in-branch execution (counter sales, showroom alignment, local assortment). - Develop cross-channel playbooks for product launches, promotions, and seasonal initiatives. - Own vendor and supplier relationships for assortment decisions, product introductions, and data onboarding. - Coordinate vendor co-marketing programs aligned to preferred supplier strategies. - Manage vendor scorecards including assortment breadth, data quality, fill rates, and promotional participation. - Partner with Supply Chain and Business Units on SKU introduction timing, inventory planning, and end-of-life management. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in category management, eCommerce merchandising, or product management, preferably in major Appliance, building products, industrial distribution, or related B2B sectors. - Proven experience owning a category P&L or revenue target. - Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms such as Magento, commercetools, Salesforce B2B Commerce, BigCommerce, Unilog/CX1, Shopify Plus, or SAP Commerce. - Experience with PIM systems such as Salsify, Akeneo, or inRiver. - Strong understanding of product data standards, taxonomy, and digital merchandising best practices. - Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships while driving assortment and data performance. - Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets with strong analytical skills. - Strong communication skills with the ability to present strategies to executive stakeholders. - Travel requirement: 25%+ for trade shows, vendor events and planning sessions. - Experience in B2B or contractor-focused eCommerce environments. - Familiarity with AHRI standards and parts compatibility tools. - Experience bridging digital merchandising with branch or counter sales channels. - Marketplace experience (e.g., Amazon, MWA, Mirakl) in a distribution context. Role Description The Enterprise Architect defines, maintains, and governs mSupply’s enterprise architecture through a business capability-driven lens. This role ensures that technology investments are aligned to what the business does, how well it does it today, and how it needs to evolve to support growth, efficiency, and acquisition integration. You will own the enterprise architecture management platform (Ardoq), facilitate capability modeling with senior leaders, and serve as the cross-domain architectural authority. - Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and architecture decision records (ADRs) that capture context, tradeoffs, and rationale. - Facilitate structured working sessions with business leaders and SMEs to identify, define, and assess business capabilities, including maturity, strategic importance, and investment gaps. - Develop and maintain a Business Capabilities Catalog and ensure capability-to-application and capability-to-technology relationships are current in Ardoq. - Establish pragmatic architectural guardrails for application, integration, data, infrastructure, and security architecture that enable speed and autonomy rather than centralized control. - Provide architectural analysis to support ERP migration, platform consolidation, and acquisition integration strategies. - Partner with Solution Architects, Engineering Managers, and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with standards, and identify architectural risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs early. - Own and administer the Ardoq platform as the system of record, ensuring artifacts remain current, accessible, and decision-oriented. - Act as an escalation point for cross-domain architectural questions and communicate architectural decisions to senior leadership in business-relevant terms. Corporate & Internal Events - Own end-to-end planning and execution for internal corporate events including national sales meetings and summits (400–500 attendees), leadership development programs, management training sessions, and company-wide gatherings. - Lead venue sourcing and contract negotiation, vendor coordination, agenda development, attendee communications, and on-site execution for internal events in partnership with HR and senior marketing leadership. - Develop run-of-show documents, event briefs, budget tracking, and post-event recap reports; manage event timelines across cross-functional teams. Vendor & Agency Relationship Management - Serve as primary day-to-day liaison with external agencies, rewards fulfillment vendors, event production partners, and loyalty platform providers. - Coordinate agency deliverables and timelines; ensure program materials, creative assets, and communications are delivered accurately and on schedule. - Evaluate vendor performance against contractual SLAs and program outcomes; surface issues and escalate as needed to the Director. - Support contract and scope-of-work documentation for new vendor and agency engagements in coordination with Marketing leadership and Legal. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field required. - 3–5 years of experience in corporate event planning, event coordination, or a closely related marketing role; experience with large-format events (200+ attendees) strongly preferred. - Experience administering or supporting points-based loyalty, rewards, or dealer incentive programs is a plus; B2B or channel partner program background preferred but not required. - Strong analytical skills with experience building reports and interpreting data to measure program performance and ROI; proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets required. - Demonstrated experience managing external vendors, event production agencies, travel partners, and venue relationships, including contract negotiation, budget tracking, and deliverable oversight. - Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and timelines simultaneously; experience with project management tools such as Wrike, Asana, or Monday.com preferred. - Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to create clear program communications for dealer, contractor, and internal audiences. - Familiarity with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools; experience with loyalty platform technology a plus. - Experience in the HVAC, plumbing, appliance parts, or broader distribution/wholesale industry is a plus. - Ability to travel up to 20% for dealer events, customer trips, and internal corporate events. - Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and high attention to detail.
