Role Description Microchip’s Legal Department is seeking a Senior Counsel – Aerospace & Defense to join our team at our corporate offices in Chandler, Arizona or remotely. This attorney will support both general commercial matters and aerospace and defense (“A&D”) business. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of commercial and government contracts, is business-oriented, and excels at advising and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams that support key markets. - Support, collaborate with, and advise Business Units, Sales, and internal support teams on compliance and contract matters, including draft, redline, and negotiate commercial and government contracts. - Review and draft data rights assertions. - Provide business-oriented guidance and impact assessments resulting from regulatory and administrative changes. - Advise and train on compliance with federal contractor obligations, such as cybersecurity requirements (e.g., NIST 800-171, CMMC), U.S. National Defense Authorization Act, Buy American Act, Trade Agreements Act, counterfeit parts regulations, and other sourcing restrictions. - Develop, update, and implement policies, processes, guidelines, and tools to improve contract and compliance management. Role Description Job Purpose - To generate, maintain, enhance and drive Microchip’s sales and business relationships with key clients and channel partners in the United Kingdom. Location - can be based anywhere in the UK. Main Functions: - To identify, pre-qualify, manage and close on major projects at focus clients and drive new opportunities. - To coordinate Microchip’s technical and commercial resources with key client projects to increase sales and sales potential. - To work closely with the relevant Field Application Engineers, Business Units, Function Specialists within Microchip to enhance the Total System Solution to the target clients. - To build a good working relationship with Microchip channel partner’s field personnel in the UK to identify new business opportunities and work jointly at clients to grow Microchip revenue. - To use the Microchip Client Engagement Process to gain credibility with clients and offer insights about their business which link back to Microchip‘s solutions. - To maintain Microchip’s Salesforce based CRM tool - Compass. - To work as part of the wider UK & EMEA sales and applications team and attend team meetings and other specific events. Qualifications - BSc in Electrical, Electronic or associated engineering disciplines or equivalent is preferred. - Track record of sales success in a design-in environment, in market segments such as industrial, communications, computing, medical & industrial. - Should be conversant with the semiconductor industry. - Familiarity with microcontroller, analog, FPGA, power systems and networking products would be advantageous. Role Description Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE) with deep expertise in Network Communication Solutions (NCS) and Microcontroller Products. This role places a strong emphasis on Systems Engineering, embedded software tools, debuggers, and advanced C programming skills. As a technical leader, you will partner with customers to enable successful design, integration, and deployment of our wired networking and microcontroller solutions, ensuring they maximize the value of our embedded software ecosystem. This is a remote home office position; however, the candidate will be required to live in the greater Portland, Oregon area to support local clients and sales. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in field applications engineering, embedded software development, or technical support, with a focus on microcontrollers and networking products. - Advanced proficiency in C programming for embedded systems, including experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), peripheral drivers, and protocol stacks. - Strong hands-on experience with embedded software development tools, IDEs, compilers, and hardware debuggers (e.g., JTAG, SWD). - Solid understanding of NCS products, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and related networking protocols. - Though the focus will be on NCS, Microcontrollers, and Embedded Software, a strong Systems Engineering background and the ability to recognize opportunities throughout Microchip’s product offerings is desired. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. - Proven track record of customer engagement and technical project management. - Willingness to travel as required (up to 10%).
