Role Description Reporting to the President and Chief Innovation Officer, Executive Vice-President, the Director of Information Technologies and Cybersecurity provides strategic leadership for Microbac’s technology and security. The role holds responsibility to align IT with business goals, manage infrastructure (hardware, software, applications, networks, security), oversee budgets and vendors, lead IT teams (analysts, developers, support), create and maintain a robust cybersecurity program, and drive digital transformation and advancement through planning, implementation, and staff training, while staying ahead of technological advancements, regulatory requirements and best practices. You must be located in Virginia within the Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, or Virginia Beach area. The position is remote with travel when necessary. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field. - Master’s degree is preferred. - 5-8 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including cybersecurity oversight. - Significant knowledge base of current AI and Cybersecurity developments and best practices and the willingness to engage in continuous education to stay up to date with the rapidly changing IT industry. - Demonstrated experience leading enterprise IT infrastructure and security programs. - Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
