This role is responsible for directing the North America finance team to deliver timely, actionable financial intelligence. Beyond overseeing daily operations, the Accounting Manager serves as a change agent, responsible for the integrity of financial reporting, the evolution of internal controls, and the continuous improvement of accounting systems and automated workflows. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Team Management - Direct Operations: Lead the day-to-day accounting functions for North America, including the oversight of foreign transactions across Canada and LATAM. Manage general ledger maintenance, AR, and complex intercompany reconciliations across multiple regions. - Talent Development & Support: Manage and mentor a team of 3–4 professionals. Foster a culture of continuous learning and maintain robust succession plans. - Operational Continuity: Ensure seamless departmental performance by providing cross-functional backup for team members. This role requires a "player-coach" mindset, with the ability to step in and support staff-level duties during peak periods, leave, or high-volume cycles. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Operations, and IT to align financial reporting with business goals, maximizing revenue generation and client service excellence.
