Title: LUOA Electives Teacher Location: Remote Location Job Description: Liberty University Online Academy (LUOA) is a fully accredited K-12 school that exists as an extension of Liberty University, providing an online educational option for grades K-12. An LUOA Teacher will be responsible for teaching courses as assigned and take advantage of teaching moments and opportunities through grading assignments and emails. The Teacher will also carry out various administrative tasks dictated by their Instructional Mentor, the Faculty Support Coordinator, the Director of Faculty, or the Superintendent. These administrative tasks will include items such as course content feedback and timely submission of final grades. Teachers are responsible for evaluating and commenting with appropriate feedback on class assignments and post grades using Canvas, the LUOA Learning Management System, within 48hrs of submission. They must also reply to student messages within 24hrs with clear and concise communication. Teachers will report to their Instructional Mentor, responsible for assisting the teacher with questions concerning their administrative responsibilities.     Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Teach material from the approved curriculum in accordance with assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction. -  Assist students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes. -  Provides regular and timely feedback to students. -  Participates in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students and getting in touch with and offering assistance to absent students. -  Advises students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors. - Motivates students to participate in all aspect of the educational process actively. -  Maintains and reports student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies. - Available to meet with students through live conference upon student's request. - Other duties as assigned.   Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies A bachelor's degree in Education or related discipline with certification or the equivalent in the specific subject matter required and classroom teaching experience required. A master's degree and online teaching experience in a K-12 program preferred. • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students within the online Art History curriculum • Managing and supporting developed lectures, discussions, and course assignments with current industry standard practices • Providing regular and timely feedback to students • Evaluate student work and provide detailed critiques and submit grades • Stay current with industry trends, software, and technologies

• Analyze workflow issues and data integrity problems, provide recommendations on resolution, and advise management accordingly. • Conducting and leading projects to accompany the transformation of Liberty’s business processes through the effective collection, processing, and visualization of data. • Document and optimize business processes by researching industry best practices and supporting the development of solutions for current business operations. • Develop a deep understanding of core business processes and how performance is measured, and work with business units to discern strategic and analytical data and analytics needs and gaps. • Utilize diagnostic/predictive/prescriptive analysis to derive business insights and direct/drive action that increases revenue, decreases cost, and/or mitigates risk. • Possess a thorough understanding of University systems and data sets, and be able to summarize and describe raw data sets for departmental use. Support validation processes to ensure data accuracy. • Analyze data to align with organizational goals and relay business impacts of findings through data-driven recommendations. • Collaborate closely with business units and provide expert input on functional business topics. • Streamline business processes by leveraging new or existing technology, including application and reporting development, while adhering to internal development and publication standards. • Provide operational support to assigned business units' systems, including technical assistance. • Provide regular updates to customers on business process improvement and new technology activities, maintaining a high level of customer service. • Mentor junior analysts on standards, best practices, and advanced analytics techniques. • Assist department leadership with daily coordination of duties, projects, and tasks, including supporting the interviewing process for new hires.

• Assists with developing, editing, and maintaining student files, documents, websites, and course content. • Provides technical support to faculty and to students. • Assists in developing training tutorials and handouts to support faculty and students. • Delivering presentations in intensive courses and in residential classrooms including information on CPCE, practicum, and internship. • Correspondence with students via email, phone, and office visits. • Assists with various licensure standards in all states to verify graduates licensure verification. • Any other duties needed/assigned.

• The Remote Support Specialist’s primary responsibilities are technical support and customer service • Support Specialists ensure end users can accomplish business and education tasks by helping them resolve technical issues • Support Specialists receive, prioritize, document, and ultimately resolve end user computer related help requests via Phone and Chat Queues • Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, remote troubleshooting, and/or software installation • Support specialists coordinate with other IT departments to ensure that reported issues are being resolved
