Key Responsibilities - Apply critical thinking and analytical rigor to assess complex, high-risk customer profiles — identifying patterns, inconsistencies, and risk signals that go beyond document review. - Leverage data, analytics, and AI-powered tools to monitor EDD program effectiveness, surface emerging risk trends, and drive scalable, intelligent decisioning across the case portfolio. - Drive ongoing improvements to tooling, workflows, and decisioning frameworks — including integration of third-party intelligence platforms (e.g., Thomson Reuters CLEAR, SEON, LexisNexis) and exploration of AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency and risk detection. - Own the EDD case management lifecycle — from initial trigger and document collection through risk assessment, narrative review, and escalation or clearance decisions. - Establish and maintain EDD policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with BSA/AML regulatory requirements and evolving state-level gaming obligations. - Conduct and oversee escalated enhanced review of high-risk customer profiles, including Source of Wealth (SOW) and Source of Funds (SOF) verification, PEP screening, and adverse media analysis. - Partner with Responsible Gaming, VIP, and Compliance teams to align EDD processes with broader player risk management frameworks. - Serve as the primary subject matter expert for EDD-related regulatory inquiries, internal audits, and third-party examinations. - Report on EDD program KPIs and case outcomes to senior leadership, translating data into clear insights that inform strategic decisions. - Oversee the EDD team, including manager and analysts/associates, setting performance standards and fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and VIP teams on how best to reduce friction whilst maintaining compliance standards. Job requirements What are we looking for? - At least 6–8 years of AML/EDD or financial crimes compliance experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a people management role, including experience at a senior level. - Direct experience in online gaming, sportsbook, or fintech compliance strongly preferred; understanding of the US regulated sports betting and iGaming landscape is a significant advantage. - CAMS certification (or equivalent) required; CGSS or CFE designation a plus. - Deep working knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, FinCEN guidance, and state gaming compliance obligations as they relate to high-risk customer due diligence. - Demonstrated experience conducting or overseeing SOW/SOF reviews, PEP/adverse media screening, and SAR filing decisions. - Proficiency with EDD and identity intelligence platforms (CLEAR, SEON, LexisNexis or similar) and vendor management. - Expertise in working with data — ability to pull, interpret, and present case metrics, trend analysis, and team performance reporting. As our Senior Game Design Mathematician, you will define and lead the mathematical architecture behind our slot games. From early concept modeling to certification and live tuning, you’ll ensure every title delivers precise statistical integrity, compelling volatility profiles, and strong commercial performance. You’ll partner across disciplines to convert creative ideas into robust probability structures and feature mechanics — owning the math from theory to implementation. This role requires both deep technical mastery and the ability to influence gameplay design at a strategic level. Key Responsibilities: - Design Slot Math Models: Develop mathematical models that define RTP, volatility, hit frequency, and feature behavior aligned with creative and commercial objectives. - Create & Maintain PAR Sheets: Produce detailed PAR sheets and supporting math documentation for all games. - Simulate & Validate: Build simulations and perform theoretical calculations (Excel and/or code-based) to validate outcomes and ensure statistical accuracy. - Debug & Support Implementation: Validate RTP implementation and debug discrepancies in collaboration with engineering teams to ensure correct integration of the math model. - Prototype & Iterate: Participate in playable prototype creation, playtesting, and iterative tuning of gameplay mechanics to optimize player experience. - Innovate Game Mechanics: Contribute new mathematical structures and feature concepts that differentiate our slot portfolio. - Analyze Market & Performance Data: Review competitor math models and post-launch performance data to inform future designs and improve player engagement. - Support Certification: Provide documentation and technical support through regulatory approvals across US, and CAN regulated markets. - Work Within Development Pipelines: Collaborate within structured development environments, including simulation tooling and version-controlled workflows. Job requirements What are we looking for? We’re looking for a senior-level slot mathematician who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for creating unforgettable player experiences. You understand that great slot games are built on exceptional math—and you’re motivated to push boundaries while delivering precision and compliance in regulated markets. The ideal candidate will have: - 5+ years of experience designing mathematical models for real-money slot games. - A proven track record contributing to or leading the math design of multiple shipped slot titles. - Strong experience creating PAR sheets and detailed math documentation. - Deep expertise in combinatorics, probability theory, and statistics. - Advanced proficiency in MS Excel or other tools for complex modeling and simulations. - Experience working with programming teams and simulation tools (Java, C, C++ or similar). - Familiarity with version control systems and structured development workflows. - Experience working with internal and external development teams - Experience supporting games through regulatory certification processes. - Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent experience. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. - A genuine passion for slot and casino games. - A sense of humor and a passion for building compelling, high-quality player experiences.
