Greenlight is the leading family fintech company on a mission to help parents raise financially smart kids. We proudly serve more than 6 million parents and kids with our award-winning banking app for families. With Greenlight, parents can automate allowance, manage chores, set flexible spend controls, and invest for their family’s future. Kids and teens learn to earn, save, spend wisely, and invest. At Greenlight, we believe every child should have the opportunity to become financially healthy and happy. It’s no small task, and that’s why we leap out of bed every morning to come to work. Because creating a better, brighter future for the next generation depends on it. We are looking for an Associate Data Analyst (Recent Graduate) to join our Marketing Science team as a college grad hire. This role sits within Marketing Science and spans all four marketing verticals: growth marketing, CRM, registration, and website. You won’t be siloed in one area. You’ll work across the full acquisition and engagement funnel, supporting different teams as business needs shift. Registration and web data cut across all of these, so you’ll develop broad fluency quickly. This is a role for someone who is intellectually curious, hungry to learn, and ready to take real ownership from day one. We’re not looking for someone who waits for a ticket to land in their queue, we want someone who sees a gap, asks the right question, and drives it to an answer. You will be embedded in a senior team that will invest in your development, but you are expected to bring energy, initiative, and a willingness to go deep. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing Science. Your day-to-day: - Support CRM analytics: measuring campaign effectiveness, audience segmentation, lifecycle reporting, and engagement across email, push, and in-app channels. - Support paid channel performance reporting across growth marketing (Meta, Google, CTV, affiliates, OOH), tracking CAC, LTV, payback period, and funnel conversion metrics. - Build and maintain dashboards in Tableau that surface growth and CRM KPIs to marketing and leadership stakeholders. - Run data pulls, user list generation, and ad-hoc queries to support day-to-day marketing decisions and campaign targeting. - Help maintain attribution reporting pipelines and flag data quality issues as they arise. - Claude is a first-class instrument in this team’s AI toolkit. You’ll use it to write and review SQL, generate documentation, QA analytical outputs, and accelerate the operational layer of your work. Knowing how to prompt well and trust-but-verify AI output is a skill we will develop together. - Partner with senior analysts on dbt model contributions and learn how business logic is encoded into scalable, reusable analytics models over time. - Keep documentation current on reports, dashboards, and metric definitions so that stakeholders can self-serve confidently. - Bring structure to ambiguous requests. When a stakeholder doesn’t know exactly what they need, help clarify the question before jumping to an answer. What you’ll bring to the team: - Bachelor’s degree (or anticipated graduation by Summer 2026) in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. - Coursework, academic projects, internships, or self-directed work that demonstrates you can write SQL queries, think through data problems, and pull meaningful signal from messy data. - Ability to create clear, effective data visualizations, select appropriate chart types, and communicate insights to non-technical audiences. - Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, investigate anomalies, and take initiative without waiting for direction. - You want to be the expert on your domain. When you own a report or a dashboard, you own it completely. You know where the data comes from, what the edge cases are, and how stakeholders use it. - You treat ambiguity as a puzzle to solve, not a blocker. Marketing analytics often means working with imperfect data and undefined questions. - You can explain what you found and why it matters to someone who didn’t run the analysis. Written and verbal communication are both important in this role. - We want to see demonstrated AI proficiency: a project, coursework, or self-directed work where you used Claude or a similar AI tool to do something analytical: build a workflow, write and validate SQL, automate a report, or solve a real problem. Being able to talk about what you built, what worked, and what didn’t is what we’re looking for. Preferred experience: - Internship or project experience in a marketing, growth, CRM, or web analytics context. - Familiarity with marketing metrics: CAC, LTV, ROAS, conversion rates, attribution models, or cohort analysis. - Exposure to dbt or data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, metric definitions, semantic layers). - Python experience for data manipulation, scripting, or automation. - Experience with Tableau, Looker, or another BI tool beyond coursework. - Participation in data competitions, open-source projects, or self-directed analytical work that demonstrates intellectual curiosity outside the classroom. Work perks at Greenlight: - Medical, dental, vision, and HSA match - Paid life insurance, AD&D, and disability benefits - Traditional 401k with company match - Unlimited PTO - Paid company holidays and pop-up bonus holidays - Professional development stipends - Mental health resources - 1:1 financial planners - Fertility healthcare - 100% paid parental and caregiving leave, plus cleaning service and meals during your leave - Flexible WFH, both remote and in-office opportunities - Fully stocked kitchen, catered lunches, and occasional in-office happy hours - Employee resource groups Our stance on salaries: Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market-based approach to pay and will vary depending on your location, experience and skill set. We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Marketing Science team. This is a mid-level IC role for someone who has moved past the fundamentals and is ready to own a domain end-to-end. You will be the analytical lead across growth marketing, registration, and website analytics, setting the measurement framework, driving analysis independently, and translating results into decisions stakeholders can act on. We want someone who shapes the analytical agenda, not just responds to it. You should be able to take a loosely defined business question, figure out what actually needs to be answered, build the analysis, and communicate it clearly without a lot of hand-holding. You will also be a resource for the junior analysts on the team, setting the bar for analytical quality and helping them grow. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Business Analytics. Your day-to-day: - Own analytical coverage across growth marketing, registration, and website, setting measurement frameworks, building scalable reporting, and driving the analytical roadmap for your domain. - Lead analysis on complex, ambiguous questions: incrementality testing, LTV and payback modeling, attribution deep dives, funnel decomposition, and cohort analysis. You define the approach, not just execute it. - Build and own dbt models that encode business logic for your domain in a scalable, reusable way to power dashboards, reporting, and stakeholder self-serve. - Build and maintain Tableau dashboards that give marketing and leadership a clear, reliable view of performance across growth, registration, and web. - Partner directly with marketing stakeholders to scope analytical problems, pressure-test interpretations, and make sure findings land as decisions, not just slide decks. - Use Claude fluently as a daily productivity layer, accelerating SQL, generating documentation, QA-ing work, and building faster analytical workflows. You will help define and share best practices for AI-assisted analytics across the team. - Mentor and raise the floor for junior analysts on the team. Review their work, help them think through ambiguous problems, and set the standard for analytical quality. - Identify gaps before they become problems, from data quality and metric definitions to reporting coverage and stakeholder understanding. Own the fix, not just the flag. What you’ll bring to the team: - 4–8 years of experience in a data or analytics role, with hands-on experience in at least one marketing channel: paid search (preferred), paid social, TV/CTV, affiliates, direct mail, or similar. You should understand how that channel’s data works, how it’s structured, what the key metrics are, and how performance is measured and reported. Multi-channel experience is a strong plus. - Strong, proven SQL ability. You write clean, efficient queries across complex schemas and can build analytics logic others can maintain. Dbt experience, including owning models in production, is a strong plus. - Proficient with Claude or similar AI tools for analytical work. You use them to move faster, not as a crutch. You know how to validate outputs rather than ship the first answer. - You write readable, well-structured Python for analytical work: data manipulation, automation, or scripting. Your code should be something a teammate can pick up and maintain. Experience with pandas and the ability to move fluidly between SQL and Python depending on what the problem calls for is what we’re looking for. - You understand how attribution models work, what makes a good experiment, and how to think about LTV, CAC, and payback period without needing a primer. - You don’t wait to be asked. You spot the gap, scope the work, and drive it to a conclusion. Your stakeholders shouldn’t have to manage your backlog. - You can take a fuzzy business question and turn it into a clear analytical plan. You ask the right clarifying questions and bring structure without needing the problem handed to you pre-scoped. - You communicate findings in a way that drives decisions. You know when a chart is enough and when you need a narrative. You’ve presented to senior stakeholders and know how to calibrate. Preferred experience: - Breadth across multiple marketing channels: paid search, paid social, TV/CTV, affiliates, or others. - Hands-on experience with experiment design and incrementality testing. - Experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse. - Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior analysts.
