We are looking for a Resume Writer & Coach with experience building resumes, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, corporate bios, and/or various business content (websites, marketing materials, as well as providing coaching sessions to develop interviewing skills. You will build technical resumes using STAR (Situation-Task-Action-Results), CAR (Challenge-Action-Results), and KSA (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) writing techniques. Functional Responsibilities: - Create (rewrite) professional resumes for tech talent, identifying candidates’ strengths, skills and accomplishments, and presenting them in a way that is accurate, attractive and business-oriented to recruiters and technical interviewers, based on industry keywords and client-specific requests. - Gather and analyze information from multiple sources (previous resumes, interviews, LinkedIn profiles, etc.) to ensure that the resumes are complete, updated, and contain the correct keywords for their respective industries. - Identify career goals, professional trajectories and strengths to gather insights about candidates’ level of seniority, people skills, communication, and others, to help assess fitness for one or multiple roles, or raise concerns. - Manage each resume as a small project, with the ability to work on several resumes at a time, keeping organized and updating stakeholders in a timely manner (other resume writers, recruiters, account managers, engineers). - Communicate effectively with talent (candidates) to gather information, request clarification and/or insert new keywords in resumes as necessary, reaching them via WhatsApp, email, and other tools. - Provide one-on-one coaching services to build tailored versions of resumes for each candidate/engineer, identifying the best ways to leverage their skills and expertise in order to make it more appealing for recruiters/potential interviewers. - Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to develop interviewing skills. - Identify and implement best practices and guidelines, as well as suggest and track improvements to the resumes, the reviewing processes, and internal Factored tools. - Occasionally provide consultation and support in delivering other forms of written content such as corporate bios, cover letters, email templates and/or business case studies. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Languages, Psychology, Business Administration, Advertising, or related field. - Outstanding written and communication skills in English (C1+), including comfortably understanding accents from many parts of the world. - 4+ years of certifiable experience working in translation, editing, proofreading, copywriting or related fields (including freelance work). - 2+ years working with resumes and/or performing interviews for a defined industry (preferred in tech-related industries). - Detail-oriented, capable of detecting and correcting cognates, spelling/grammatical/syntax errors, and manually rewriting or rephrasing text for maximum impact. - Comfortable and experienced working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company. Bonus points if you come from tech or from another start-up. - Able to easily change hats between projects, collaborating with stakeholders and working with tight (and sometimes fluctuating) deadlines. - A self-starter, flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity. - Knowledgeable and comfortable with the Google Workspace ecosystem, including Google Sheets and Google Docs, and remote work tools (Slack, Zoom). Nice to have - Credentials related to HR/recruiting, resume writing, certifications, etc. - Experience in recruiting or HR area in IT industry. - Experience in career coaching is a strong plus - Familiarity with the STAR/CAR or KSA resume writing frameworks - Experience working with CRM software - Experience as an employability mentor/coach.
