Role Description As a Senior Software Developer in Business Transformation & Intelligence (BTI), you'll design a clean, scalable architecture for our core platform, enabling internal teams to ship and maintain their own tools without duplicating effort or re-buying capabilities. - High Autonomy / High Impact: Significant influence over the engineering culture and technical trajectory of the department. - Foundation & Architecture: Architect a modular and maintainable full-stack application that serves as the "Factored OS" and sets engineering standards for all future BTI software projects. - Technical Strategy & Selection: Lead the evaluation and selection of programming languages, frameworks, and infrastructure components that align with BTI's goals. - Technical Mentorship: Mentor and pair with a junior engineer, reviewing code and setting technical direction. - Security & Access Control: Design and implement a granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system. - Documentation & Onboarding: Maintain documentation and build a clear onboarding path for new contributors. - CI/CD & Guardrails: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment guardrails. - Remote & Agile: Operate in a fast-paced, remote-first environment valuing "shipping to learn." - Operational Integration: Design and implement bi-directional API integrations with Greenhouse, HiBob, and Jira. - Product Discovery & Shaping: Partner with a Product Manager to translate business needs into technical specifications. - Performance & Scale: Develop a high-performance search and discovery engine for the talent pool. Qualifications - Senior Engineer (8+ Years): Proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining full-stack, scalable applications. - Startup-Native Mindset: Experience in early-stage environments building from "zero to one." - Leadership: Experience mentoring or supervising a junior/mid-level engineer's work. - Security Fundamentals: Experience with modern authentication and authorization patterns. - Strong Data Foundations: Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL database architectures. - System Design: Expertise in designing modular architectures for future growth. - Modern Backend Framework Proficiency: Node.js/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI, or equivalent. - Modern Frontend Framework: React/Next.js or equivalent. - Authentication & Authorization: OAuth2, JWT, and production RBAC implementation. - Cloud Hosting & Deployment: AWS/GCP/Azure with CI/CD pipelines. - Event-Driven Architectures: Experience with queues, pub/sub, and webhooks at scale.
