Job Description

Project Manager

Factored

Role Description We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact, complex projects. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, ensuring that technical and business objectives are met while driving high-level strategy and cross-functional alignment. This position is ideal for a seasoned leader who excels at managing ambiguity, mitigating risk, and mentoring teams to deliver excellence at scale. - Own end-to-end project delivery (from scope definition to final release) ensuring every client project is completed on time, within budget, and at the expected quality bar. - Define clear, measurable goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership, and remain personally accountable for hitting them. - Serve as the single go-to person for the client across the full project lifecycle — managing expectations proactively, communicating status and risks with clarity, and ensuring the client's voice is reflected in every key decision. - Drive delivery using agile principles: planning and facilitating sprints, managing the release calendar, coordinating go/no-go decisions, and adapting plans iteratively based on client feedback and changing requirements. - Lead engineering teams with a hands-on approach: unblocking impediments in real time, running effective standups and steering meetings, and maintaining high team velocity. - Proactively identify and resolve conflicts before they escalate into blockers. Mediate disagreements with clarity and fairness, and develop robust contingency plans for both technical and operational risks throughout the project lifecycle. - Develop and actively manage comprehensive project plans — including timelines, and resource allocation — for large-scale initiatives. - Maintain executive-level visibility through steering committee meetings, surfacing critical risks and recommending strategic pivots when needed. - Oversee and manage the integration of client requirements into the broader roadmap, ensuring long-term compliance and value delivery without compromising scope or timelines. - Establish and refine PMO methodologies, agile frameworks, and best practices that raise operational excellence across the organization. - Analyze project performance data to extract actionable insights on profitability, ROI, and lessons learned, feeding them back into future initiatives. Qualifications - Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, or a related field; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (CSM) certifications are strongly preferred. - 7–10+ years of experience in project or program management, specifically leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment. - Proven track record of managing large scale projects and overseeing the full project lifecycle from inception to transition. - Deep expertise in project management methodologies, agile methodologies and advanced proficiency with tools like Jira, Asana, or Monday.com. - Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at the C-suite and executive levels. - Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights and ROI reporting. - Experience in establishing PMO standards and mentoring junior project staff to improve overall organizational efficiency. - High degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain composure and clarity in high-pressure, ambiguous situations. - Professional-level fluency in English with impeccable written and verbal communication skills. Benefits - Ownership through equity participation. - Annual company retreat. - Education bonus for continuous learning. - Company-wide winter break. - Paid time off. - Optional in-person events and meetups. - Tailored career roadmaps. - High-performance culture.
