About the Role As the Associate Publisher for Hospitality Technology (HT), you are an individual contributor to revenue, and also serve as a strategic partner to the Publisher. You will manage a premier sales territory while also aiding with sales strategy, product ideation and marketability, and audience positioning. The ideal candidate brings deep relationships within the foodservice technology space and the "consultative" skill set required to navigate complex, multi-platform discovery and closing. You aren't just hitting a quota; you are helping to shape the brand’s product roadmap and ensuring our commercial offerings remain the "gold standard" for tech providers. You are a high-energy sales leader who understands how to monetize multi-platform content that includes digital advertising and demand generation, high-ticket event sponsorships, custom research and membership. Key Responsibilities - Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed sales targets by managing a territory of key accounts, developing consultative proposals, and closing deals across an integrated media portfolio. - Sales Acumen & Forecast Precision: Maintain CRM for data hygiene and pipeline transparency; ability to monitor lead velocity and pivot sales strategies in real-time to mitigate gaps. You must demonstrate a sophisticated approach to forecasting, moving beyond "gut feel" to provide the Publisher with data-backed revenue projections that ensure quarterly and annual targets are consistently hit or exceeded. - Market Analysis: Monitor foodservice tech trends, competitor movements, and audience data to identify new market opportunities or emerging technology categories. - Product Development: Collaborate with brand leadership – including publisher and editorial teams – to help conceptualize and launch innovative B2B products that fill market gaps and leverage unique brand attributes. - Client Relationship Management: Act as a senior-level ambassador for the brand at industry trade shows and networking events Required Skills & Qualifications - Industry Experience & Relationships: 7+ years of B2B media sales experience, specifically within the foodservice or hospitality technology sectors. The ideal candidate will have relationships with technology solution providers to the foodservice industry. - Consultative Sales Mastery: Proven ability to coduct deep client discovery and craft sophisticated, custom proposals that go beyond "standard" ad units. - Strategic Liaison Skills: Ability to translate between "client needs" and "editorial vision," ensuring commercial products are both high-value for sponsors and highly relevant to the audience. - Individual Contributor Mindset: A self-starter who enjoys the "hunt" and the "close," but wants the added responsibility of influencing the brand's strategic direction. - Analytical Skills: Ability to monitor audience data and engagement metrics to identify market threats or opportunities - Communication & Presentation Skills: Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate the unique value of the HT and RTN ecosystems to C-suite tech executives.
