Services Estimating Manager

EnerSys

• Oversee the team responsible for developing accurate labor, material, and subcontractor cost estimates for service-based projects • Ensure that all estimates align with operational capabilities, established pricing strategies, and project profitability goals • Coordinate with sales, project management, and field operations to ensure estimates accurately reflect real-world execution conditions and scope requirements • Maintain estimating tools and historical data libraries to support team efficiency and consistency • Supervise and mentor a team of service estimators, providing technical guidance and performance coaching • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of estimates, proposals, and pre-sale documentation to meet project deadlines • Review and approve team estimates for accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with margin targets • Support the maintenance of pricing databases, including labor rates, materials, and subcontractor costs • Partner with sales and operations to clarify project scope, identifying potential constraints or value-add opportunities • Utilize and refine estimating templates and workflows to reduce turnaround time and maintain consistency across the team • Manage and report on KPIs associated with the delivery and accuracy of estimates and proposals • Ensure team estimates account for safety, logistics, and execution risks • Assist with proposal creation and participate in customer bid reviews as required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in cost estimating or proposal development, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Strong knowledge of service operations, including labor planning and material costing
  • Proficiency with estimating software and advanced Microsoft Excel (cost models, pivot tables)
  • Proven ability to manage a team under tight deadlines across multiple project types
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on margin discipline and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and experience coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and CRM platforms preferred.

Qualifications Required: - 5–7+ years of experience in payments or payment product management. - 2–3 years of people management experience, including managing FTEs and/or contractors. - Experience working with payment systems, payment service providers, or digital commerce platforms. - Exposure to global vendor ecosystems and coordination of integrations or certification activities. - Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Smartsheet, Confluence or similar platforms. - Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams. - Experience contributing to system implementations, integrations, or technology deployments. The salary range for this position is $117,000 - $135,000 The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work.
