Associate – SBA Business Development

• Support the salesperson by managing inbound leads, conducting initial client intake, and qualifying prospects. • Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and communications with team members (sales, underwriting, closing, etc.) • Maintain CRM records, track pipeline activity, and prepare sales reports. • Develop strong working relationships with BDOs, Underwriters, Credit Officers, Closers, and other internal teammates. • Communicate with team members and clients regarding issues or details that need to be addressed or changed throughout the loan process. • Assist in gathering, organizing, and reviewing documents needed for SBA loan applications (7(a), USDA, 504, etc.). • Provide instruction and assistance to clients during the initial SBA loan application process, emphasizing accurate completion of documents and introduction to loan processing software. • Ensure client files meet SBA standards and help keep applications moving on schedule. • Ensure loan application packages are in complete compliance with SBA guidelines. • Order pre-underwriting and prequalification government-required reports (e.g., OFAC, CAIVRS, SAM). • Preliminary assessment of new loan opportunities. • Spreading and initial analysis of financial statements, projections, and business plans. • Assess SBA and USDA eligibility and maintain thorough understanding of SBA SOP and USDA Regulations & Guidelines. • Assist Government Guaranteed Lenders (GGL) BDOs and GGL Underwriters in preparing loan packages for credit underwriting. • Complete vetting and credit memos to effectively communicate guarantor background, borrower business details, and other information aiding review, underwriting, and approval processes. • Manage the appraisal process for all new credits (coordinate with borrowers, order appraisals, monitor status, etc.). • Order and review site inspections. • Order and track business valuations, providing pertinent information and documents to vendors. • Ensure compliance with internal bank credit policy and external regulatory requirements. • Attend SBA and USDA training to stay current on government-guaranteed lending regulations. • Work with the SBA Lending team to devise and execute new processes and procedures that contribute to continuous process improvement in SBA loan origination.

Commercial Appraisal Manager

• Provides support to the Appraisal Group management as part of the corporate commercial appraisal and review program through performing independent internal reviews of appraisal reports • Reviews appraisal reports to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and bank standards, reasonableness and credibility of appraisals • Prepares timely internal review reports with an emphasis on technical reviews opining to value conclusions • Works with engaged appraisers to discuss questions and resolve potential problems in order to achieve compliant and valid market value results • Works with account officers, relationship managers and department management to find solutions to unacceptable appraisals which may include, rejections, ordering new appraisals, issuing value opinions via supported modifications or preparing internal Restricted Use appraisals • Acts as a resource to bank staff and assists in managerial duties as assigned by the Chief Appraiser • Responds to inquires from bank staff involving corporate appraisal policy and compliance with laws and regulations • Identifies and assesses risk and escalates issues to the Chief Appraiser to ensure proper resolution • Makes recommendations to Chief Appraiser regarding possible additions to and necessary disciplinary actions regarding existing appraisers on the corporate approved appraiser list resulting from the appraisal review process • Provides relevant market data to the Chief Appraiser for input into the department databases • Assists in assigned managerial duties to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the department • Guides and advises department staff in the more complex phases of their work • Makes recommendations and conducts sessions pertaining to employment, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, training, transfers, and terminations for assigned department staff • Assesses the validity of existing appraisals and evaluations • Analyzes existing appraisals and evaluations to determine if they continue to reflect the market value of the property and may be used in a subsequent transaction • Prepares the appropriate validation documentation and create a department file containing the data and analysis considered which may include market data compiled and maintained in the department’s databases, or advise that a new appraisal or evaluation is required if the original reported market value is no longer valid • Responsible for special projects as assigned by management including but not limited to general market data analysis and quarterly reports
