Hiring: Regional Asset Protection Manager Summary of Position - Accountable for the Asset Protection function for 275+ stores (7 provinces) and two distribution centers across Canada. Lead and manage asset protection programs, risk assessments, security, AP policies and practices, investigations, audits and inventory control practices. Establish and maintain strong communication and working relationship with all levels of the organization with the objective of reducing losses, improving profitability and enhancing safety. This is a remote position ideally based out of Toronto Ontario, with extensive travel requirements (approximately 75%). Principal Duties & Responsibilities - Identify root causes of shrinkage and implement solutions for reducing shrinkage and improving operational controls - Provide guidance, coaching and support District Managers with the investigation of integrity issues - Monitor, analyze and follow-up on statistical data and reporting related to inventory and cash losses - Administer and conduct audits to create awareness, detect areas of vulnerability and develop action plans to address - Support and reinforce the Health and Safety Program and practices - Maintain timely and accurate reporting and record keeping of all incidents - Enhance Associate education and loss prevention awareness programs - Train Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers on Dollar Tree procedures and compliance to include Shrink, Cash Management, Asset Protection, Physical Security, Workplace Violence Prevention, Safety, and Robbery/Burglary Prevention. - Collaborate and build partnerships with Law Enforcement - Support investigation of robberies/ burglaries within the market and escalate accordingly to the Major Crimes Team. - Support Workplace Violence investigations and threat assessments as needed. - Investigate repeat theft cases/ORC and elevate to the Major Crimes Team. - Collaborate with business partners such as Operations, HR, Legal, and People Solutions (as applicable) on internal investigations. - Ensure that the Store’s Asset Protection Equipment is in good working order and is being utilized effectively, including CCTV, Exit Alarms, Burglar Alarms, and Smart Safes.
