Qualifications - 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on frontend development with React. - Deep understanding of React internals — component lifecycle, rendering behavior, reconciliation, hooks, context, and performance optimization (memoization, lazy loading, code splitting). - Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES2020+), with a solid grasp of async patterns and browser event loop behavior. - Proven experience building and shipping production-grade, user-facing web applications. - Solid understanding of browser fundamentals: the DOM, CSS layout/rendering, HTTP, caching, and web security (CORS, CSP, XSS/CSRF). - Experience building and consuming REST APIs, with comfort owning the backend layer (Node.js) for features you develop. - Familiarity with state management patterns and tooling (e.g., Nanostore, React Query, or similar). - Proficient in frontend testing practices (unit, integration, and E2E — e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright). - Fast learner, able to work independently and as part of a team. - Proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Analyst15 days ago
Full TimeRemoteMid LevelTeam 0Since 2014

Role Description We are looking for a Business Analyst to sit at the intersection of pre-sales, solution design, and post-sales delivery planning. This is a highly cross-functional, customer-facing role. You will work directly with prospects and clients to deeply understand their data needs, translate those needs into technically sound and commercially viable solutions, and produce the detailed SOWs, scoping documents, and cost models that make complex Managed Services projects possible. You will collaborate daily across Sales, Solution Engineering, R&D, Product, and Delivery, acting as the connective tissue between what a customer needs and what Bright Data can build and price accurately. Responsibilities - Pre-Sales & Solution Scoping (~40%) - Engage directly with prospects and customers during pre-sales to understand their data collection, enrichment, and insights requirements in depth. - Lead or support discovery sessions — asking the right questions to uncover technical constraints, data freshness needs, volume expectations, output formats, and downstream use cases. - Translate customer requirements into well-architected solution designs that leverage Bright Data's full stack: Scraper Studio, proxies, Web Unlocker, Scraping Browser, AI pipelines, and data delivery options. - Work alongside Sales AEs and Solution Engineers to craft winning proposals — ensuring the technical and commercial narrative is coherent and credible. - Identify ambiguities and risks in customer requirements early, and drive alignment before contracts are signed. - SOW & Pricing (~30%) - Author detailed, precise Statements of Work (SOWs) for complex Managed Services & Insights engagements — covering scope, deliverables, timelines, assumptions, exclusions, and acceptance criteria. - Build cost models and pricing estimates for projects involving data collection at scale, custom scraper development, AI/BI deliverables, and ongoing maintenance. - Develop and refine internal costing frameworks to improve speed and consistency of pricing across the team. - Collaborate with R&D leads and Delivery/Project Managers to validate technical feasibility and effort estimates before committing to customers. - Manage scope change requests and support contract amendments as projects evolve. - Business Research & Post-Sales Analysis (~30%) - Conduct deep business and technical research on customer industries, data sources, and use cases to inform solution design and delivery planning. - Produce structured write-ups, briefing documents, and solution specs for internal teams picking up delivery post-contract. - Support delivery teams during project kickoff to ensure the SOW is fully understood and the solution is set up for success. - Track and analyze project performance data — helping identify where scoping assumptions held up and where they didn't, to improve future estimates. - Stay current on web data, AI/ML, and BI trends to bring informed perspective to both client conversations and internal solution development. Qualifications - 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Solutions Consultant, or similar role in a technology services, data, or SaaS environment. - Proven track record writing complex SOWs and service contracts for technical projects — you know what good scope definition looks like and why it matters. - Strong understanding of web data collection and web scraping — you don't need to write scrapers, but you must be able to speak credibly about how data is collected, what affects cost and complexity, and what can go wrong. - Solid grasp of data analysis, BI, and AI/ML solutions — enough to scope deliverables, ask the right questions, and assess feasibility. - Experience estimating IT project costs — infrastructure, development effort, ongoing maintenance, and third-party tooling. - Excellent customer-facing communication skills — comfortable leading discovery calls, asking probing questions, and presenting solutions to technical and business stakeholders alike. - Outstanding written English — your SOWs, proposals, and research write-ups must be clear, precise, and professional. - Highly organized and self-directed in a fully remote environment.
