Overview BigBear.ai is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager, Technical Accounting and Revenue Recognition. The Manager will play a critical role as a key contributor to various accounting functions at BigBear.ai. This position requires a meticulous accounting professional who can ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, support financial reporting, and collaborate closely with the accounting team. What you will do Accounting Operations / Reporting: - Take lead role in implementation, compliance, and ongoing analysis of revenue recognition policies in accordance with ASC 606 - Ensure accurate contract review, revenue treatment, and financial reporting related to revenue streams. - Assist in the monthly close process, including preparing workpapers and reconciliations. - Record monthly journal entries ensuring accuracy and appropriate documentation and approvals, primarily related to the order-to-cash (revenue) cycle. - Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and variance analysis. - Assist in preparing and reviewing Quarterly SEC filings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations. - Prepare technical accounting memos on an ad-hoc basis supporting matters to include business combinations, stock-based compensation, derivatives and convertible debt, among others.
