• Lead design projects from start to finish with autonomy and authority, including discovery, ideation, workshops, definition, high-fidelity design, design systems, handoff, and visual QA • Plan and facilitate design workshops, client reviews, user research, and user testing sessions • Work collaboratively with the Big Human design team to solve complex product and UI challenges; contribute hands-on design work when needed • Provide feedback and guidance to ensure work meets high visual standards and incorporates best practices • Lead, mentor, and guide designers at both an individual and team level with high-level strategic design direction • Articulate and defend design decisions clearly to clients and internal stakeholders • Navigate ambiguity and pivot quickly with changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Oversee and provide creative direction across 1–2 additional concurrent projects beyond your own hands-on work, guiding other designers to maintain quality and consistency
• Design and redesign complex, data-heavy interfaces across desktop and mobile • Create thoughtful variations of dense screens that improve hierarchy and clarity • Collaborate directly with founders and engineers in a small, fast-moving team • Iterate rapidly based on user sentiment and real-world behavior • Monitor community feedback and proactively identify areas for improvement • Establish and evolve a practical design system in Figma • Define and document reusable components without slowing execution
• Collaborate closely with recruiting and sourcing leaders, business executives, and various cross-functional partners. • Support the recruitment process for a diverse range of roles including Product Design, Product Management, Strategy, UX Research, Design Operations, Writing, and Brand Design. • Strategically source new talent through both traditional and innovative channels. • Curate and manage shortlists of prospective candidates for review by hiring managers. • Engage in meaningful discussions with hiring managers. • Coordinate and schedule interviews. • Contribute engaging content for our weekly newsletter and maintain an active presence on our corporate blog. • Report directly to the CEO, assisting in the development of recruitment strategies. • Lead sourcing initiatives across various roles and clients.
