• Assist teachers in delivering instruction using differentiated methods that meet the needs and goals of the student’s IEP; • Work with assistive technology, when needed, to teach regular education curriculum using different methods to better meet student needs; • Co-teach and collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers and coaches to share strategies for modifications, accommodations and interventions; • Coordinate with the Special Education Teacher on special education requirements needed to meet the needs of the students in the regular education inclusion program, their IEP goals and objectives; • Utilize knowledge of state standards and testing requirements to assess students for mastery and validate student learning; • Prepare students for standardized tests; • Assist with testing for local and state assessments; • Facilitate regular communication with students, parents, teachers, coaches, staff, administrators and other legitimate stakeholders regarding student performance, progress and academic expectations; • Work generally to establish and maintain positive relationships with families; • Track student progress and motivate students using incentives that reinforce individual goals; • Enter documentation and perform other record-keeping in appropriate systems; • Work with the Special Education team to maintain compliance with Company and the District’s record-keeping requirements; • Provide necessary reports; • Participate in meetings regarding special education students; • Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and professional development (virtual and face-to-face); • Solve day-to-day problems presented by staff and students; • Collaborate with the Special Education team and school in developing an effective Special Education program; • Participate as a member of the Response to Intervention process, if asked to; • Participate in school committee work to plan assemblies, school events, school-wide incentives, community service opportunities; • Assist with pre- and post-school duties including club sponsorship; lunch, before, or after school duties, as required; • Communicate needs to the school leadership team regarding special education students as appropriate; • Promote a positive school environment by holding students accountable for all school and classroom rules and policies.

Role Description We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Art Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. This role involves delivering high-quality support through asynchronous content, supporting a flexible, student-centered learning environment. Key Responsibilities - Instructional Delivery: - Support students through high quality and timely feedback on work submissions as they progress through their asynchronous curriculum. - Provide targeted support, advice and teaching to students during ‘office hours’. - Facilitate community and confidence building activities during identified group sessions. - Undertake academic instruction and planning as required by the leadership team. - Student Support & Engagement: - Monitor student progress and provide timely, individualized feedback, and support in sessions and using our messaging system. - Be available for office hours by appointment to assist students in one-on-one or in small groups with their submissions, questions and understanding. - Take a proactive approach to identifying students in need of support, putting this in place in timely fashion. - Work & Course Management: - Develop and maintain asynchronous materials and assessments aligned with course objectives. - Deliver a wider range of course preps as needed, potentially across multiple subjects or grade levels. - Maintain a flexible and responsive approach to course coverage and student needs. - Work closely with other teams, including learning coaches and student services, to ensure they can support student progress and wellbeing. - Professional & Community Engagement: - Attend all sessions and meetings unless absent due to illness or an approved, planned absence (in which case, a recorded lesson is required). - Maintain professional communication and collaboration with colleagues, leadership and families. - Maintain prompt, professional, and positive communication with students and families, taking responsibility for solving issues and motivating students. Qualifications - Teaching experience, with online or hybrid experience an advantage. - Skilled in delivering instruction through live virtual classes and asynchronous content. - Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Visual Arts, Digital Arts or a closely related field. - Proficient in using digital learning tools (e.g., LMS, video conferencing, assistive tech). - Capable of teaching multiple visual art course preps across grade levels. - Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future. • Support the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction; • Complete all grading, create progress reports and conduct learning coach conferences in a timely manner; • Communicate with learning coaches, students and other teachers frequently to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, score assessments, provide feedback on student work, suggest instructional approaches and strategies, monitor completion of assignments and coach special projects; • Develop a general knowledge of the entire program’s curriculum and a very detailed knowledge of the courses for which responsible; • Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding (working directly with students and learning coaches); • Communicate regularly with learning coaches, students, and team teachers through use of computer and telephone; • Work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through the program, that parents have a central point of contact, and that tasks are distributed among the teachers; • Keep student records and data up-to-date, including Data Views, cumulative files, online student and family information, attendance accounting, and logging all student and learning coach contacts; • Attend field trips and other community activities implemented for students and families; • Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing, as directed; • Build effective relationships with learning coaches and students through regular communication and availability; • Other duties as assigned.
• Remotely teach at least 1 AP subject course to a small class of students. • Deliver 2-3 hours of live instruction + office hours each week during the academic year. • Craft engaging asynchronous learning activities and assignments to help students stay ahead of the pace and successfully make it through all AP course content. • Utilize our LMS (Canvas) and video conferencing platform (BigBlueButton) to deliver all live instruction, course content, assessments, and communication. • Deliver instruction using your own proven methods and materials within the confines of the AP course guides.
• Planning, preparing, and teaching online lessons (45 minutes each) for corporate clients. • Deliver private lessons that include both language teaching and personalised coaching - conducting needs analyses, assessing levels, creating bespoke learning paths, checking progress during lesson time, and setting clear goals. • Teach online group classes that focus on active learning and communication.
