Role Description As part of Loggerhead’s Customer Experience team, the Inside Sales Agent will be handling calls and leads, consulting with customers on their insurance needs and matching the correct coverages, products, and benefits to convert leads into customers. In this role, you will interact with our customers through calls, SMS, and email. Role Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The ideal candidate will manage complex accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, adherence to deadlines, a resourceful, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to mentor junior staff. Key Responsibilities: - General Accounting - Prepare and record monthly journal entries. - Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records. - Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. - Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate variances. - Prepare the fixed asset schedule, prepaid expenses schedule and other supporting schedules for internal and external financial reporting. - Participate in process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations. - Bank Reconciliations and Cash Management - Perform timely and accurate monthly bank reconciliations for multiple operating and investment accounts. - Research and resolve outstanding reconciling items and discrepancies. - Monitor daily cash activity and assist with cash forecasting. - Coordinate with treasury and operational departments to ensure proper recording of cash transactions including expense reimbursements. - Recommend process improvements to strengthen cash controls and reconciliation efficiency. - Budget and Financial Analysis - Prepare accounting entries related to premiums, claims, and commissions. - Assist in the annual budgeting process, including gathering departmental budget submissions and preparing consolidated budgets. - Support quarterly forecasts and long-range financial planning. - Analyze actual financial results against budget and forecast, identifying significant variances. - Prepare management reports and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making. - Partner with department leaders to monitor budget performance and provide financial guidance. Role Description As part of Loggerhead’s Sales team, the Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable premium growth within your assigned territory by selecting, engaging, and managing independent agents to successfully sell and support Loggerhead’s Personal Lines products and services. This role is at the forefront of building premium growth through relationships with our underwriters and agents to ensure we build market share successfully. A Day in the Life could include: - Managing an assigned territory comprised of independent agencies, which may be statewide or a portion of the state. - Serving as a strategic partner to assigned independent agencies and responsible for the growth of Loggerhead products through marketing and highlighting features and benefits. - Training on products, systems, services, underwriting, book transfers, development of existing agencies, new business growth and retention, or prospecting for new agencies. - Collaborating with members of the product management team to ensure adequate pricing and competitive products for overall profitable growth. - Serving as the primary contact point for agency support staff to build and maximize the agency/company relationship for Loggerhead products. - Promoting industry knowledge by coordinating and attending industry events and participating in continuing education and other learning opportunities. - Managing agencies with quarterly reviews and development of action plans to positively influence production and profitability. - Documenting agency contacts and gathering critical local market information through both internal and external data sources.
