The Role: We’re looking for a passionate and curious Manager of Business Development to join our team. If you’re excited by new challenges, solving complex problems, and learning every step of the way, you might just be the perfect fit. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to drive impactful projects, collaborate with bright minds, and explore uncharted territories. What You'll Do: - Support a regional sales team in identifying prospective targets that are a good fit for Evotec’s standalone service offerings. - Collaborate with the VP and Sales Directors to support targeted outreach within the region & qualify resulting leads. - Take ownership of smaller pipeline opportunities (academic & biotech sectors) from first contact (or SQL onwards) to signed contract. The Opportunity exists to develop towards management of a small territory within the assigned region. - Help increase Evotec’s visibility and recognition in the region by participating in client meetings, conferences, and events. - Support the implementation of sales and marketing plans for the territory as part of a regional team of BD professionals. - Work closely with Operations and Marketing to support project onboarding and drive client satisfaction. Who You Are: - 2-3 years of experience in business development or sales experience in the life sciences, biotech, or contract research industry (CRO highly preferred). - Familiarity with drug discovery & development pathways (academic or industry exposure acceptable). - A tenacious, self-motivated and target driven individual capable of managing a portfolio of modest opportunities and pushing through to closure. - Excellent communication and presentation skills with a consultative mindset. - Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills. - Enthusiasm for learning and developing a career in business development within the life sciences sector. Key Competencies: - Play a key role in growing a fee-for-service business at the cutting edge of drug discovery. - Work directly with senior BD leaders for mentorship and career development. - Gain visibility and field exposure to allow build of a strong personal network. - Travel: As required in support of the regional team. Willingness to travel extensively (40%+). The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $113,900 to $154,100. This is a salaried exempt position. Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
