Nurse Case Manager, Bilingual in Spanish

• Provide direct educational training and support to patients and caregivers about gMG and prescribed argenx products • Will manage patient cases across regions as coverage and volume requires • Communicate insurance coverage updates and findings to the patient and/or caregiver • Review and educate the patients and/or caregivers on financial assistance programs that they may be eligible for • Coordinate logistical support for patients to receive therapy and manage their disease • Collaborate with argenx Patient Access Specialist, Case Coordinator, and Field Reimbursement Manager teams to troubleshoot and resolve reimbursement-related issues • Engage with patients and provider case coordinators to ensure appropriate support is being given on an individualized basis • Provide patient-focused education to empower patients to advocate on their behalf • Develop relationships and manage multiple and complex challenges that patient and caregivers are facing • Ensure compliance with relevant industry laws and argenx’s policies • Aligned regional travel will be required for patient education to support patient programs

Job Requirements

  • Current RN License in good standing
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Bilingual in Spanish, required
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in healthcare to include hospital, home health, pharmaceutical or biotech
  • 2-5+ years of case management
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry strongly preferred
  • Reimbursement experience a plus

Role Description This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. - Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. - Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. The physician serves as a primary care physician within the VISN 21 Clinical Resource Hub (CRH). The physician will provide virtual primary care services to VA clinics facing staffing shortages within VISN-21, which comprises northern and central California, Nevada, and the Pacific Islands including Guam. The physician will work with an inter-professional team of nurses, pharmacists, and mental health providers to deliver team-based primary care. The position is remote; however, we do require that the provider travel to the individual clinic they are serving to deliver in-person care every quarter through VA-funded travel. - Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation for non-surgical adult patients of all ages, without life-threatening complications and with a wide variety of conditions. - Assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services. - Collaborate with/oversee mid-level providers such as nurse practitioners and work collaboratively with other specialties (and subspecialties) in and outside of the VA system to manage or co-manage patients' health. - Technical proficiency in using video conferencing platforms, proficiency with using an electronic medical record, and an aptitude to navigate systems-challenges that occur with the delivery of telehealth. - Written and verbal communication skills to function well within a virtual care team. - Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications - Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine. - The degree must have been obtained from an institution whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed. - Basic Requirements: - United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. - Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. - Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. - Proficiency in spoken and written English
