Role Description We are looking for an experienced Proposal Manager to join our team and guide us through crafting proposals that exceed our clients' and partners' expectations. - Manage activities associated with the development of proposals in response to government solicitations. - Set and manage proposal schedules, resources, and progress monitoring. - Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and proposal schedules. - Provide direction to cross-functional teams assigned to work on proposal efforts. - Lead the development of proposals within Coforma's focus areas (Healthcare, Public Interest, and Veterans Services). - Prepare high-quality, complex, compelling, and compliant written responses, presentations, and/or technical challenges according to solicitation requirements. Qualifications - At least 4 years of proposal management experience including coordination, writing, editing, and production. - Clear history of building excellent proposal submissions and winning new business in the federal government and/or government contracting space. - Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). - Proficient with G Suite (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.) and other business systems such as Slack, Zoom, and Confluence. Requirements - Ability to manage overlapping projects to completion. - Strong communicator with the ability to write, review, and edit others’ writing for clarity and compliance. - Experience managing proposals in the digital services landscape. - Full-time resident of the contiguous United States and legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship. Benefits - $93,840 to $122,400 Annual Salary + Benefits + Growth Potential. - Placement within this range will be based on the competency level of the candidate. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities) - Lead the entire proposal process from pre-RFP to submission. - Perform detailed analysis of RFI/RFQ/RFP requirements. - Collaborate closely with MarComms and Design teams. - Draft and edit compliant templates and documents in response to RFIs, RFPs, etc. - Lead non-traditional proposals such as oral presentations and technical challenges. - Prepare and lead efficient proposal kickoff meetings and reviews. - Document proposal debriefs and conduct lessons learned. - Study industry best practices on proposal writing. In Your First 30 Days, You Will: - Complete new hire orientation training. - Learn about the Growth Enablement Team’s process for pursuing new opportunities. - Shadow other members of the Growth team. After 60 Days: - Assume all core functional responsibilities of the role. - Begin to manage proposal functions. - Represent Coforma at industry conferences and events. After 90 Days: - Assume full responsibility and accountability for all functions associated with the role. - Identify skills or knowledge gaps and establish a professional development plan. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: - Proposal Management Foundation and/or Practitioner certification from the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) or other proposal-related certification(s). Other - Will prioritize and maintain access to strong, reliable internet for the remote nature of our work. - Will keep the highest security practices to ensure privacy and security of Coforma and client information. - On request and with advanced notice, will attend in-person events as assigned. - Will represent Coforma professionally and sincerely, modeling our Company Values in all interactions.
