Field Service Technician II

• daily travel to locations in and around the Phoenix area, including the airport • troubleshoots, services, installs (deploys) and repairs Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites • maintains field service log and filing system to properly initiate, organize and maintain all field service and job files until work is completed • demonstrates initiative and dedication through positive use of downtime • conduct follow up calls with the customer to ensure satisfaction of work • responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction • installs, repairs and maintains equipment in the field; provides customer training as required
Job Requirements
- Associate’s Degree/Related Trade Certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical)/Military Training (electrical, mechanical, electronics)
- Minimum of 5 years experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
- Computer literacy; competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite

• Safely and effectively diagnose, repair various Caterpillar mining shovels and earthmoving equipment in a timely manner • Ensure high quality standards and positive customer relations • Participate in safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives • Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment • Repair and/or assemble allied or competitive Caterpillar earthmoving equipment as required • Work with the customer on 993 loader, 6020 & 6030 diesel shovels • Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner • Participate as an integrated member of onsite mechanical staff • Maintain good customer relations • Comply with company and customer health and safety policies and procedures
• Support customer issue resolutions, fleet issues, service bulletin implementations, monitoring and diagnostics, fleet configuration, and outage management • Interpret OEM & technical manuals where necessary • Review effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify training need opportunities • Utilize FLIGHT DECK principles to deliver continuous improvement • Produce data analytics and timely reporting of production status, program updates, events, and trends to key internal stakeholders • Provide recommendations on proactive maintenance; direct and facilitate any necessary rework • Share voice of customer insights to key internal stakeholders regularly • Manage office space needs including but not limited to supplies management • Own personnel scheduling for the site • Work onsite to support around-the-clock operations at the customer as needed on weekends and holidays
