Role Description The Remote Site Technicians will safely and effectively diagnose, repair and or assemble all Caterpillar mining and earthmoving equipment in a timely manner while ensuring high quality standards and positive customer relations. - 14/14 rotational schedule - Pay Type: Full Time, Permanent - Compensation: $49.98 to $51.46 - The listed wage is just one component of our total rewards package, and eligibility to additional premiums may be available. Role Description As the first point of contact, the Virtual Parts Person plays a critical role in understanding the customer’s needs and providing them with solutions. To do this, we need customer service champions with knowledge of all things parts! This is a fully remote role that requires senior‑level parts knowledge. In a typical day, YOU will: - Enhance our customer's experience and commitment to brand loyalty by providing product expertise, relevant parts recommendations and regular communication of current and upcoming parts promotions. - Manage parts inquiries and correspondence effectively by phone, email, text, and chat in a timely and courteous manner. - Remotely help to manage the daily functions of various parts operations, including sourcing, procuring and ordering parts, following up on backorders and credits. - Understand Toromont’s privacy policy and PCI compliance policy (CC sensitive info handled according to policy). - Be self-motivated in an independent working environment. - Require a reliable internet connection. - Communicate with a variety of branches and learn the Tribal Knowledge associated with each one. - Watch the Q’s and suggest changes to support. Qualifications - Post Secondary Education and 3+ years proven experience working in a parts operation. - Technical knowledge specific to the heavy equipment/truck parts industry is a necessity. - Customer-centric with a proven ability to build and sustain customer relationships through effective communication and strong interpersonal skills. - Solid sales acumen with skills necessary to proactively and effectively link product knowledge to customer needs. - Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. - A positive self-motivated, team player with a sense of urgency and attention to detail. - Computer and systems literate with proficiencies in Microsoft Applications. - Working Knowledge of DBS, CAT SIS, payment portal, Parts POP ups is a requirement. - Willing and able to work flexible hours in support of the business needs. - Provide on call service as required, at times on weekends and evenings. Note: This position will be rotational as it is working at a remote site.
