Who you are: The Marketing Coordinator supports the planning and execution of the High School Outbound (HSOB) Content Marketing plan. Specifically, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for managing our content calendar, overseeing publications across CIEE’s social and web presence: from planning and authoring new content across touch points (email, blog, video, social posts and graphics) to reporting on performance, with an eye towards improving traffic, engagement, and conversions. This role is a unique opportunity to grow as a well-rounded marketer. We’re looking for candidates with strong project management and analytical skills as well as a creative edge, to be able to not only coordinate but actively contribute to the production, updating, and management of our HSOB marketing assets. This role reports directly to the HSOB Content Marketing Manager and will collaborate internally with other Marketing Coordinators, the larger CIEE Digital Marketing team, and HSOB Sales team to execute the marketing plan and track performance over time. What you’ll do: - Social Media - Develop and manage the social media calendar, and manage publication on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other channels as assigned. - Develop and manage social media content (video, text, and photos). - Monitor engagement on social media platforms, including responding in a timely manner to DMs and comments. - Coordinate student takeovers and collaborations with third parties. - Occasionally identify, recruit, and manage micro-influencers. - Develop and own reporting for organic social media content and coordinate with digital marketing teams to map out impact on user journey. - Monitor the social media competitive landscape and stay current on trends. Share best practices with the team. - Content Marketing - Support Content Marketing Manager with the planning, development, management, publication, distribution, and reporting of existing and new content across our digital ecosystem. - Author new written pieces as required for publication on blog, website, and social media. - Keep the asset library organized and current. - Act as a brand steward, upholding brand and trademark standards and consistency across projects. - Participant engagement - Develop and manage engagement plans and contests for participants in the program to curate user-generated content. - Additional duties can include: - Develop new material and update existing assets: - Update/edit existing digital and print collateral or templates such as sell sheets, flyers, posters, etc. - Help develop copy and curate visuals for new digital and print content. - Coordinate external resources to produce larger-scale print, digital, copywriting, and video projects. - Support mass communication needs: - Supports new email content development as needed by curating new visuals, graphics, or copy. - Send ad hoc mass texts and mail merges as needed and in coordination with sales. - Website - Coordinate, author, or edit the publication of new content for the web. - Coordinate with the Digital Marketing team to keep 3rd party site listing inventory up to date. What you’ll bring: - Knowledge Requirements - - Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business management or related field. - 1-2 years’ experience in marketing or related function at an agency or internal marcom department. - Understanding of the Gen Z audience. - Skill Requirements - Excellent project management and organizational skills. - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. - Experience managing social media presence for a brand and with direct user engagement.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Experience in basic graphic design and fluency in the Adobe Software suite (specifically, InDesign, Photoshop) or Canva. - Experience with basic video editing (iMovie, Premiere, Windows Movie Maker…). - Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously. - Comfortable with web-based project management tools and collaboration technologies. - Creative problem solving with a “can-do mentality.” - Flexible, change-embracing in a rapidly evolving work and market environment. - Ability to relate to and work with a wide variety of stakeholders. - Enthusiasm to work cross-departmentally and a collaborative attitude. - Optional/Plus: - Experience with high schoolers or in an educational environment. - International or Global Education experience.
