Your Role As a Communications Manager with Evergreen Nephrology, you are responsible for leading our communications function, reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications. This role leads key communication initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, support physician partnerships, and build brand awareness within the industry. Working closely with executives, the People Team, and our media relations agency, the Communications Manager will develop and deliver clear, consistent messaging that supports both organizational priorities and thought leadership efforts. This is an ideal opportunity for a communications professional with healthcare public relations experience who enjoys both strategy and execution. From media relations and thought leadership to social media and internal messaging, this role plays a visible and meaningful part in how we connect with our audiences. Role Responsibilities - External Communications & Public Relations - Partner with our media relations agency to support brand awareness and thought leadership initiatives - Help develop and execute proactive media strategies, including press releases, announcements, and story opportunities - Coordinate interviews, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership content - Monitor and report on media coverage and industry trends - Support reputation management efforts - Social Media & Content Management - Own and manage the social media content calendar across channels - Develop and schedule engaging content that supports brand awareness and thought leadership - Partner with internal stakeholders to source content and stories - Track performance and optimize content based on engagement insights - Internal Communications - Partner with executives and the People Team to plan and execute internal communications - Develop clear and engaging messaging for company updates, initiatives, and announcements - Provider Engagement Communications - Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement a provider engagement communications strategy - Create targeted messaging and materials to support provider engagement initiatives - Support ongoing engagement through campaigns, updates, and educational communications - Brand & Messaging - Ensure all communications reflect a consistent brand voice and message - Help maintain and evolve messaging frameworks - Serve as a brand steward across communication channels - Measurement & Reporting - Track and report on communications performance and engagement - Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement - Other duties consistent with this role, as assigned. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field - 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or corporate communications - Experience managing social media for an organization or brand - Experience supporting both internal and external communications - Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail - Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging messaging - Strong project management and organizational skills - Comfortable working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams - Intermediate skills with MS Office Suite of products including Outlook and Teams - Able to work effectively in a remote environment: - Home internet must support a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps. Cable, Fiber, or DSL connections hardwired to the internet device are recommended - Evergreen will provide remote employees with telephony applications and equipment to meet the business requirements for their role - Employees must work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information Preferred Qualifications - Healthcare communications or healthcare PR experience strongly preferred - Experience working with media relations or PR agencies preferred Compensation The pay range for this role is $115,000 to $125,000 annually. Exact pay is determined based on experience, education, demand for the role, and other role-specific factors. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus.
