DevOps Engineer/SRE, Cloud IaaS

• Deploy and operate Linux-based infrastructure supporting our Edge Cloud platform • Build, automate and improve infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management • Plan and execute infrastructure maintenance with minimal customer impact • Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, networking, virtualisation and storage layers • Improve the reliability, scalability and observability of our cloud platform • Design, implement and improve infrastructure automation and deployment workflows using GitLab CI, Ansible and Terraform • Collaborate with engineers across infrastructure, networking and platform teams to continuously improve our services • Participate in an on-call rotation to support production infrastructure

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of production experience as a DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure Engineer
  • Strong Linux administration skills and experience operating production infrastructure at scale
  • Hands-on experience with OpenStack
  • Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with virtualization systems such as KVM, Libvirt, and QEMU
  • Ability to write Python and Bash scripts to automate operational work
  • Passion for technology and curiosity to understand how systems work at a low level
  • Comfortable working in a production environment and participating in an on-call rotation
  • Genuine curiosity about how systems work, and comfort diagnosing issues down to the hardware layer

Role Description Are you a strong Customer Service/Financial Specialist with billing experience? Then consider a career with us, on our Financial Operations Billing Team! In this role, you will provide customer service support to our internal CSRs and junior team members for the Liberty Direct Billing Team, while playing a key part in the modernization of our billing operations and implementation of the new TOBE system. Schedule: - Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 8:00pm EST. - This is a closing shift role requiring availability up to 8:00pm EST. Key Responsibilities - Support the implementation and rollout of the new TOBE system, partnering with project teams to ensure smooth adoption and transition. - Analyze operational and financial reports to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making. - Provide exceptional customer service to internal CSRs and team members regarding Liberty Direct billing inquiries via phone and in writing. - Evaluate and make decisions on billing exceptions within department guidelines and system limitations. - Collect, compile, and analyze data from multiple financial systems, including external payment and transaction systems. - Mentor and coach junior team members on routine and policy-level issues. - Lead problem-solving sessions and drive a continuous improvement mindset; identify VOC and CI opportunities. - Handle complex email and report workflows and assist with production issues. - Exercise independent judgment on issues with significant departmental impact and anticipate prioritization needs. - Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications - High School diploma required, Associate's degree in Business or Accounting preferred. - Minimum 4 years of work experience. - Strong math, communication, and customer service skills. - Knowledge of Liberty Direct Systems, appetite to learn new systems including TOBE. - Ability to identify and resolve issues and present information clearly. - Proficiency in Microsoft tools. - Availability to work closing shifts up to 8:00pm EST.
