Job Description

Senior Marketing Planning Lead

Capital One

• drive the operational backbone of our marketing organization • orchestrate our annual and quarterly planning cycles • manage budgets and streamline workflows for campaign managers and creative teams • lead the marketing operating rhythm, including budget planning and quarterly campaign planning • design and manage the central intake process for marketing requests • facilitate prioritization sessions for resource allocation • act as primary liaison for LRCC approvals • optimize the review process for campaign speed-to-market while ensuring compliance • lead relationships with external creative agencies and MarTech vendors • manage contracts, performance SLAs, and risk assessments with ESM and BAR • maintain the master marketing calendar and provide executive-level reporting on campaign health

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Marketing Operations, Project Management, or Marketing Planning
  • At least 3 years of experience managing marketing budgets and financial forecasting
  • Experience navigating complex legal or compliance review cycles in financial services or a similar industry
  • Demonstrated ability to use project management tools (for example: Workfront or Jira) and CRM platforms (for example: Salesforce CSM)
  • Experience streamlining internal creative and production workflows
