Role Description Join NEI's growing System Studies team and help shape the future of power system engineering. As the Power System Studies Team Lead, you'll combine technical excellence with people leadership, guiding a team of talented engineers delivering complex studies for utilities and renewable energy clients across North America. You'll play a key role in establishing technical standards, mentoring engineers, improving workflows, and helping expand one of NEI's fastest-growing technical practices. This role is ideal for an experienced power systems engineer who enjoys solving technically challenging problems while developing the next generation of engineering talent. Essential Responsibilities - Performs and manages the detailed electrical studies primarily for utility clients in support of substation designs projects. - Provides coaching and mentorship for their team members, ensuring that team members are developing professionally and that their career goals are being met. - Conduct review and QA/QC for electrical studies in support of design teams. - Provide regulatory compliance services for all project design phases from conceptual design through project testing and commissioning. - Establish study templates, methodologies, and best practices for electrical system studies. - Serve as SMEs for study software related questions and troubleshooting. - Secondary responsibilities may include checking and/or performing detailed design of all aspects of electrical power systems to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, conduit, and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, writing of equipment specifications, project and construction cost estimates, and project scheduling. - Prepares a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including proposals, cost estimates, and budget reports. - Assists with Client contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments and meetings. - May occasionally assist with performing equipment, control system, communications, troubleshooting, and relay field testing and start-up and commissioning services. - Maintains a strong understanding and applications of applicable Codes and Standards. - Maintains strong and responsive Company-Client relationships. - Maintains high ethical and professional standards. - Attends conferences, training workshops, seminars, regular undergraduate, and graduate classes as appropriate for advancement and as required to maintain quality of work. - Attends safety training and follows safety rules and guidelines. - Other job-related responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferred. - Experience: 5+ years of relevant engineering or field experience. - Licensure: FE is required, PE is preferred. - Knowledge and familiarity with medium and low voltage distribution, switchgear, motor control centers, and industrial instrumentation and controls. - Experience with one or more industry-standard power system analysis software packages such as: - Steady State software: (PowerFactory; ETAP; SKM Power Tools; Easypower; Aspen; Windmil). - System Protection & Arc Flash software: (CAPE, Aspen, ETAP; Power Factory; SKM Power Tools; Easy Power). - Grounding software: (CDEGS; WinIGS). - Interconnection & Dynamic Modeling: (PSSe, PSLF). - Cable Ampacity software: (Cymcap). - Transient Studies software: (PSCAD). - Possesses effective written and oral communications skills. - Good interpersonal and people skills. - Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. • Operate as the primary administrator and architectural lead for the Workday platform, including Core HCM and connected modules. • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday business processes, workflows, notifications, calculated fields, and condition rules. • Administer Workday security, including role-based access, security group design, and periodic access reviews. • Manage Workday semi-annual releases and feature updates, including impact analysis, regression testing, and validation. • Build and maintain Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) files for mass data loads. • Work closely with the integration engineer on integrations between Workday and other critical systems. • Create and refine reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making.

• Handle tickets and day-to-day user requests, providing quality IT support; • Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Defender; • Manage devices via Intune: provisioning, compliance policies, application deployment; • Support information security practices and help with preparation and maintenance of SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliance (under senior guidance); • Track software licensing and help identify cost optimisation opportunities; • Coordinate with vendors and handle hardware procurement and maintenance; • Use AI tools to speed up incident investigation and help compensate for gaps in experience in unfamiliar situations; • Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base.

• The Windows Systems Administrator within the Environment Management Group is responsible for identifying, analyzing, monitoring, supporting, architecting, and engineering solutions. • Areas of responsibility involve OS, middleware, applications, and databases for pre-production servers. • Strong coding skills around automation is a MUST. • Deploy, smoke test, and validate new code releases. • Backup and restore environments to previous version in case of rollback • Maintain and control access to test environments through concept of least privilege • Provide a weekly status report for current projects • Review and provide recommendations to improve environment performance • Manage tickets and tasks assigned to provide detailed information on all support provided, recommended solutions, and improvements that are implemented • Provide technical assistance to other Systems Administrators as needed • Understand and document how entire environment and its dependencies is integrated • Spec and build new environments as needed • Monitor and maintain standard documentation for policies, procedures and practices • Demonstrate effective time management and the ability to maintain multiple tasks • Apply effective communication and customer support to our QA and Dev teammates
