Senior Systems Administrator

ESM

Role Description Ensures the stable operation of DLA's computer software systems and network infrastructure by planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing network software and communication links. - Analyzes and resolves end-user software and connectivity issues while providing technical support and user training. - Recommends technology solutions and strategic direction to align IT capabilities with organizational objectives. - Provides both local and remote maintenance support for operational systems deployed across multiple locations, including server and application maintenance, upgrades, and new installations. - Applies advanced technical expertise in application networking, including load balancing and fault-tolerant system design. - Performs vulnerability management to maintain system security and reliability. Qualifications - Demonstrated knowledge of systems administration principles, including installation, configuration, maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting of enterprise software systems, servers, network infrastructure, and communication links across multiple locations. - Proven ability to administer and support Corporate Performance Management (CPM) platforms while applying advanced knowledge of application networking, load balancing, fault tolerance, vulnerability management, and system security best practices. - Experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools to analyze operational data and develop dashboards and reports, with proficiency in Qlik or Microsoft Power BI preferred. - Ability to develop executive-level presentations and communicate complex technical and business information effectively to senior leadership, providing strategic recommendations that align technology initiatives with organizational objectives. - Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including providing end-user training, resolving software and connectivity issues, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver effective IT solutions. - Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage system maintenance, upgrades, new installations, and remote support activities while ensuring high system availability, performance, and reliability in a mission-critical environment. Requirements - Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, six of which are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, four of which are concentrated, hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software. - Any IAT-II Certification. - Active Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher. - Secret clearance. Physical Requirements - Required to stand, walk and sit; communicate verbally both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
