• Resolve the root cause of technical problems escalated from client-facing teams • Stay up to date on product training and technical knowledge • Ensure proper internal tagging and administration to identify support drivers for the product team • Communicate and escalate emerging issues with Engineering (SRE) and Product teams via approved escalation paths • Share feedback with Support Specialists and Team Leads for specific tickets that could have been resolved by Tier 1 but were escalated to Tier 2 • Contribute to the team's customer satisfaction metrics delivering feedback levels in line with SLA • The Support Automation Engineer handles frontline support via email when there are scheduling gaps or unexpected volume spikes • Assist in the support team as a mentor, trainer or technical coach as needed • Participate in and assist with Support’s strategic projects as needed • Act as point of contact for and become an expert in troubleshooting Support issues • Help identify opportunities for process and product improvements within the Certn Support team and make recommendations to management and leadership • Document Technical Support processes and troubleshooting guides for other client-facing teams in Guru • Help identify opportunities for improvement to Certn Help public self-help documentation and work with Knowledge Management stakeholders to implement improvements

• Partner with engineering, platform, and product teams to embed security into day-to-day delivery and SDLC workflows • Support application security programs across SAST, DAST (web and API), SCA, and secrets scanning • Strengthen software supply chain security and integrate security controls into the Harness unified pipeline and related CI/CD workflows • Build AI-powered workflows including agentic IDE and MCP server integrations to automate triage, prioritize and enable auto remediation via standardized playbooks • Reduce false positives and operational noise by using AI-assisted analysis to tune and maintain SAST queries/rules • Support response to zero-day events by accelerating assessment/scanning and automating identification of affected assets (e.g., vulnerable libraries or malicious packages) using inventory sources • Create and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and documentation for recurring findings, remediation steps, and operational processes • Support the security exemption/exception process, including documentation, approvals, and expiry/renewal tracking

Role Description Shermco Protection and Control (P&C) division is seeking Automation & Controls Engineers (Levels I–IV) responsible for the design, configuration, commissioning, and testing of power system automation and protection controls. These roles support mission‑critical environments, primarily large‑scale data centers by applying automation engineering, protection concepts, programming, and strong problem‑solving skills to ensure accurate, reliable, and safe system operation. Responsibilities - Configure and integrate substation automation systems (e.g., MicroSCADA or similar platforms). - Engineer and test IEC 61850 systems, including MMS, GOOSE, and IED configuration. - Build HMI screens and support SCADA database configuration. - Configure protection relays and IEDs (Hitachi, SEL, or equivalent) using vendor engineering tools. - Program and test RTUs (e.g., RTU560 or similar), including logic, communication mapping, and point‑to‑point testing. - Configure industrial Ethernet switches, VLANs, PRP, and perform network troubleshooting. - Integrate communication protocols such as DNP3, IEC 104, Modbus, SNMP. - Interpret and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and single‑line diagrams. - Perform system troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark. - Apply power system protection concepts in commissioning and validation activities. - Interface with customers and team members during testing, energization, and issue resolution. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 4 years of experience in automation, control systems, or commissioning/startup. - Strong knowledge of control theory, automation concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies. - Experience with power system protection and control concepts and substation equipment. - Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal). - Ability to work safely and contribute to a safety‑driven culture. - Willingness to travel and perform out‑of‑town commissioning work.
