Role Description The Cash Application Team Lead supervises, coaches, and reviews the work and performance of a team of Cash Application Specialists. This role manages the escalation of complex issues, handles complex reconciliations, and drives process improvements — combining hands-on people leadership with strong technical ownership of the cash application function. - Download incoming payment information from the bank, identify customers, and apply payments to customer invoices. - Export data from dashboards and analyze it for missing or inaccurate entries. - Research unapplied payments and drive them to resolution. - Respond to Collections and customer inquiries via Zendesk and Slack. - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of four Cash Application Specialists. - Review and approve cash application activities performed by the team to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards. - Oversee the daily cash application process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer payments. - Supervise the reconciliation of daily cash applications with bank statements, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly. - Act as the first point of escalation for the team, handling complex issues and ensuring efficient problem resolution.
