• Serve as a deep-level application, database, and systems analysis SME for Optimized NALCOMIS (OOMA/OIMA) • Identify and resolve application and data-driven anomalies causing functional or performance issues • Translate customer needs into actionable system requirements and communicate status and changes back to the customer community • Promote alignment, productivity, and teamwork in a multi-organizational, government-contractor environment • Support SMART Aircraft interface integration with OOMA/OIMA and future Maintenance Information Systems • Perform advanced troubleshooting of SMART interface and OOMA/OIMA application/data issues • Load and test data alignment programs; install client applications and security updates • Conduct government acceptance testing for SMART interfaces and third-party interfaces to ensure: Compliance with security standards and NSG controls, Preservation of OOMA/OIMA application integrity • Serve as SME liaison among NAVAIR program managers, NAVWAR, developers, industry partners, and fleet subject matter experts to: Analyze, document, and manage system and interface requirements • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to development and test teams • Ensure successful implementation, integration, and lifecycle sustainment • Decompose Naval Aviation requirements (elicitation, analysis, validation, specification, verification) and provide SME recommendations to stakeholders, customers, and end users • Translate high-level business and user needs into detailed functional requirements and business rules for developers, testers, and functional experts • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, traceability, feasibility, testability, and compliance with Navy, Marine Corps, and DoD standards • Provide Tier-3 technical support to fleet SMEs on OOMA/OIMA and related logistics applications • Identify and assess risks, prepare risk statements, and develop/track mitigation strategies • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support modernization and integration of software and hardware in accordance with DoD and command IT/business standards
Job Requirements
- Intermediate knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps Aviation Maintenance Programs and procedures
- Strong understanding of aviation maintenance policies, processes, and standards specific to Navy and Marine Corps operations (NAMP, CNAFINST 4790.2 series)
- Familiarity with maintenance documentation, workflows, compliance requirements, and operational best practices
- Intermediate knowledge of OOMA production replication processes, production databases, and production servers
- Knowledge of data synchronization across production environments to ensure system reliability and accuracy
- Intermediate knowledge of the OOMA/OIMA applications as they relate to systems integration, IT architectures, and network routing for end-to-end solutions
- Proficiency in executing and troubleshooting the OOMA SMART Aircraft interface processes
- Skilled in managing and resolving SMART interface issues in a production environment
- Strong SQL skills: design and execute database scripts to validate referential integrity and data consistency; identify and resolve database anomalies
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong documentation skills for requirements, technical reports, and stakeholder presentations
- Ability to foster collaboration among developers, project managers, stakeholders, and sponsors across on-site and geographically dispersed teams
- Ability to receive and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
