Role Description We are seeking a Computer Systems Analyst to join our team. You will support the analysis, development, and enhancement of software applications by partnering closely with a Lead Computer Systems Analyst and programming teams. You will ensure systems function efficiently, integrate well with external interfaces, and meet user and business needs through technical analysis, testing, and documentation. This position will be fully remote with some travel required to customer sites both CONUS and OCONUS. - Systems Analysis & Evaluation: - Analyze existing software systems, user interfaces, workload patterns, and overall system performance. - Review downtimes and assess proposed system modifications, upgrades, and new commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions. - Software Development Support: - Assist in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new applications and enhancements to existing systems. - Provide analytical input that enables programmers to create detailed flowcharts, programs, and tests. - System Integration & Maintenance: - Maintain and monitor system interfaces, both internal and external. - Support hardware and software performance tuning to ensure optimal system functionality. - Collaboration & Coordination: - Work closely with programmers to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of program and system specifications. - Partner with the Lead Computer Systems Analyst to understand requirements and align development efforts. - Reporting & Communication: - Prepare milestone status reports and deliver system concept presentations to colleagues, subordinates, and end-user representatives. Description DUTIES: Optimize and define design and validation requirements, predict inverter losses and heat rejection, predict high voltage bus ripple and resonances, assess the impact of control strategy on component design and validation, assess impact of design changes on component and system performance, and HTD, PTC, Ripple Rejection Analysis. Support power electronics teams in all phases of program execution from concept to production. Provide technical leadership in program product development teams and supplier assessment activities pertaining to power inverters and high voltage bus. Actively pursue cost reduction, size reduction and efficiency improvement. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office. Multiple positions available. REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Design Release Engineer, or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Design Release Engineer, or related occupation. • Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware across the full lifecycle—requirements, architecture, implementation, test, and documentation. • Read, understand, and apply component datasheets, reference manuals, and applicable standards (FIDO, JavaCard, and others) in Token designs. • Monitor and optimize use of constrained system resources—CPU, memory (RAM/NVRAM), and I/O. • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews. • Design schematics and lay out PCBs for new products and revisions of existing ones. • Select components and manage the BOM for performance, availability, quality, and cost. • Own hardware bring-up and hardware/software integration on new boards. • Define hardware and software specifications together to ensure compatibility and performance. • Test pre-production prototypes and diagnose issues spanning both hardware and software. • Perform RF testing and board-level diagnostics using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. • Troubleshoot hardware faults—bad solder joints, design issues, marginal components—alongside general hardware and software debugging. • Lead failure analysis on prototypes, returns, and production defects, persisting until root cause is determined and driving corrective action. • Work directly with manufacturing and contract manufacturers to resolve production issues and improve yield. • Ensure component and design decisions produce a high-quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable product. • Collaborate across hardware, firmware, cloud, mobile, and manufacturing teams to align on product requirements and goals. • Contribute to engineering processes, tooling, and best practices, and embrace AI tools to streamline development, documentation, and testing. • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FIDO, SOC 2).
