• Lead the strategy, execution, and day-to-day engineering operations for a key Protect domain, with a focus on reliability, delivery quality, and technical health. • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, building a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and strong technical execution. • Stay close to the architecture and implementation details, moving comfortably between planning, technical design, and operational problem-solving when needed. • Partner with Product, Research, SRE, and adjacent engineering teams to prioritize work, remove bottlenecks, and deliver scalable solutions in a multi-cloud environment. • Strengthen engineering fundamentals across your area, including observability, incident response, quality practices, CI/CD, and team operating cadences. • Use data, metrics, and technical judgment to identify systemic issues, improve team effectiveness, and raise the bar on execution.
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software, platform, or cloud engineering, including direct responsibility for team leadership and delivery outcomes.
- Strong hands-on experience building and operating distributed systems in AWS and/or GCP, with familiarity in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Proven ability to lead engineers through execution, improve engineering processes, and deliver reliable systems in production.
- Strong technical grounding in modern backend engineering, observability, and operational excellence.
- Experience in fraud prevention, authentication, voice biometrics, trust and safety, or related security products (Nice-to-haves).
- Prior hands-on experience as a software, infrastructure, or platform engineer before moving into management (Nice-to-haves).
- Experience working in high-growth SaaS environments where speed, scale, and cross-functional execution all matter (Nice-to-haves).

Role Description As a Software Engineer II on the Data Engineering Platform team, you will help steward Marqeta's Snowflake data platform: - Configuration-as-code - Access model - Schema-migration tooling - Compliance automation You'll also contribute to the services we operate on top of the warehouse: - Customer-facing financial reporting API - PCI-scoped ETL pipelines - Cross-region replication and parity checks - Per-customer program provisioning - Sensitive-data masking Our stack is Python and SQL on top of Snowflake and AWS. Everything is provisioned as code with Terraform, and data pipelines are orchestrated with Apache Airflow. Services run on AWS Lambda and API Gateway today, with active work to evaluate a migration to Kubernetes for some workloads. Everything ships through modern CI/CD in a regulated environment with strict data-handling and audit requirements. This is a hands-on platform-engineering role with meaningful ownership from day one. You'll partner with senior engineers on production infrastructure, help shape decisions about how Marqeta operates Snowflake at scale, and have room to grow into technical leadership on the platform surfaces you own. Role Description As a Senior Development Manager, you will drive hotel development across Germany, IHG’s core growth market in the region. Acting as a trusted commercial partner to owners and investors, you will: - Identify where IHG’s brands can grow most effectively. - Originate the right opportunities and convert them into value-accretive, executable deals. - Work closely with the Development Director while operating with a high degree of independence and commercial judgment.
