Oracle Senior Session Border Controller (SBC) Engineer

Role Description We are looking for an experienced Session Border Controller (SBC) Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise SBC infrastructure and SIP-based voice solutions across complex, multi-site environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SIP signaling, SBC platforms, carrier integrations, VoIP technologies, and network engineering to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available unified communications and contact center solutions. Responsibilities - Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise Session Border Controllers (Oracle). - Design SIP trunking, call routing strategies, dial plans, and carrier interconnections for enterprise voice environments. - Integrate SBCs with collaboration and contact center platforms such as Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, Genesys, Amazon Connect, and other UC/CC platforms. - Configure and support TLS, SRTP, topology hiding, SIP normalization, SIP REFER, PRACK, early offer, and high availability deployments. - Design and optimize QoS policies for real-time voice traffic across WAN/LAN environments, including DSCP marking, LLQ, and traffic prioritization. - Perform SIP and RTP troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark, sngrep, Homer, or similar protocol analyzers. - Implement SBC security best practices including certificate management, SIP security, fraud prevention, and access hardening. - Collaborate with network, security, cloud, and operations teams to deliver highly available voice and collaboration solutions. Qualifications - 6+ years of experience in Voice Engineering, Unified Communications, or Network Engineering. - Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise Session Border Controllers (Oracle). - Strong expertise in SIP signaling, SIP trunking, call routing, dial plans, and VoIP protocols. - Experience integrating SBCs with Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, Amazon Connect, Genesys, or other UC/CC platforms. - Strong understanding of RTP, TLS, SRTP, SIP normalization, SIP REFER, PRACK, early offer, and SIP header manipulation. - Experience with enterprise networking including QoS, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, VRRP/HSRP, VLANs, and IP subnetting. - Experience troubleshooting SIP/RTP issues using Wireshark, sngrep, Homer, or similar tools. - Strong understanding of SBC security, certificate management, toll fraud prevention, and enterprise voice security best practices. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Nice to Have - Experience with Cisco, Avaya, Ribbon, or Genesys voice platforms. - Knowledge of cloud-based contact center platforms including Amazon Connect and Genesys Cloud. - Experience with scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, or REST APIs. - Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments. - Relevant certifications in SBC, Networking, Cisco, AWS, or Microsoft Teams Voice.
