Role Description UPMC Corporate Marketing is seeking an Intermediate Marketing Analyst to join our team. This full‑time role follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern Time and is primarily remote. The team meets onsite four times per year, and candidates will be required to come onsite for team meetings. The ideal candidate should be within 50 miles of the US Steel Tower. In this position, the Intermediate Marketing Analyst will collaborate with a cross‑functional team to design, execute, and evaluate tests that support both marketing and operational initiatives. The role requires strong expertise in demand‑generation data, sourced from multiple channels, to uncover insights and guide strategic recommendations. Success in this role depends on a deep understanding of marketing automation tools and digital marketing platforms to help achieve key business objectives. Apply today! - Campaign Design and Strategy (10%25) - Consult with the Campaign managers to confirm and finalize marketing campaign requirements. - Determine data sources required to meet campaign specifications. - Translate marketing campaign requirements into campaign targeting/selection rules. - Campaign Results Analysis (10%25) - Support ad hoc campaign performance analyses with Marketing team. - Work with the Marketing team, Email team, and Print vendors to resolve any data issues. - Serve as Project Lead for building rules, taxonomy, standards, segments, campaigns, and hands on user(s). - Campaign Build and Execution (80%25) - Finalize campaign requirements with Marketing team. - Receive, export, and QA any external data files. - Build campaigns in marketing platforms such as IBM Campaign or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Krux DMP; etc. - Execute campaigns ensuring 100%25 error free work. - Troubleshoot any potential campaign issues. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related disciplines. - Three years of experience in database marketing, marketing analytics, data analysis and/or data mining. - Master's degree can be in lieu of 2 years of relevant experience. - Strong experience understanding data structures and analyzing data from a business perspective. - Demonstrated experience working with an automated campaign management application; (Preferred: IBM Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, data management platforms, email marketing platforms; etc.) - Experience with Power BI preferred. - Healthcare experience preferred but not required, consumer / retail / technology / Insurance experience preferred. - Demonstrated experience working with SQL and with extracting and manipulating large datasets for analysis purposes. - Demonstrated Campaign management experience working with non-technical marketing professionals. - Ability to translate between the business and technical communities. - Strong communication and presentation skills. - Expert in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Strong communication skills: both verbal and written.
