Your role in our mission - Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs. - Assists in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user. - Gathers information from the system, analyzes program and time requirements, and prepares documentation to change existing programs. - Researches and analyzes existing systems and program requirements, under periodic supervision. - Analyze, design, and review design of applications and suites of applications to ensure that customer specifications are satisfied. - Able to create complex design documents and translate them into component-level designs to accelerate development. - Utilizes experience in development methodologies, coding documentation, testing methodology and industry standards to define and develop project requirements, functional specifications and detailed design of application solutions for clients. - Applies Gainwell and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate to advanced complexity. - Develop strategy, design and data gathering approaches. - Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs. - Writes specifications for programs of moderate complexity. - Assists in resolving production support problems. - Develops and suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems. - Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identifies issues as appropriate. - Developing and executing regression testing strategies - Creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation such as design and testing documents - Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews. - Remains abreast of and researches industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards. What we're looking for - 3+ years of experience in applications development and batch programming, with some experience making changes to moderately complex batch business applications, using C. - Experience with the following: - Proficiency in C programming, including experience with performance optimization, memory management and debugging. - Strong SQL skills, preferably using embedded in C, using an Oracle database - Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting, process management, file systems - Visual Studio Code within the Azure Framework preferable or other IDE, including debugger tools - Coverity/ASQC Proof of Code Scan Tools or the like, coding changes compliant with industry standard coding practices - IWS (IBM Workload Scheduler) – job stream/job execution application - rTrace – documentation repository and code base release scheduler - TFS, Git or other versions of software - Advanced understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies. - General understanding of Medicaid (specifically Business Policy Admin), HIPAA, and PHI - Highly desired experience: Healthcare and Medicare systems; Medicaid claims adjudication What you should expect in this role - Fully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%) - Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required - Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation #LI-SH1 #LI-REMOTE The deadline to submit applications for this posting is March 30, 2026 The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Job Requirements
